Exactly as stated by the title. This section is a cut-out piece of land reserved mostly for the Chinese community. With trades ranging from dried-foods to hawker stalls and the typical coffee shops/houses, you would find yourself spoilt for a diversified range of food assortments.
Take a walk around this road which is Jalan Kebun Sultan and allow yourself some time to sample the delights of the local delicacies with a tinge of Siamese touch in all their food. You won't regret the stroll down KB's famous food lane.

This is a Halal Chinese restaurant with authentic Malaysian Chinese food taste, very rare. Must try the fish head curry with steam bread. Don't miss this place if you are in Kota Bahru.

Was in Kota Bharu several times on a working trip. I have always stayed in one of the numerous back-packer's Inn around Jalan Kebun Sultan.
There are several Chinese restaurant along Jalan Kebun Sultan besides this food court. As in hawker food court in other towns, this is just another ordinary place, There's the usual chinese economy rice, Bah Kut Teh, wanton mee, fish ball mee, fried Kueh Tieu, curry mee, some Thai food and a host of others.
As in other chinese Food Courts, the place is often full of people during early morning breakfast, lunch and dinner time.
A few years ago, there were several stalls selling all sorts of merchandise along the road side of Jalan Kebun Sultan during the night time, thus giving it an bustling night market feeling. But now, there's only the several chinese restaurant along this place, thus an empty and not so lively atmosphere.
There are several Malay stalls along Jalan Kebun Sultan, selling satay, drinks and a stall selling steamed rice with a variety of spicy chicken, large prawns, spicy squid and other malay food. There's usually a large crowd during dinner time to pack take-aways. The food here is really delicious. There are some tables behind the stall for customers to eat the packed steamed rice. This stall is just in front of the Public Bank.
For me, the Jalan Kebun Sultan Food Court is just another ordinary place for chinese hawker food in Kota Bharu, nothing special.

We tried and adored aallll the bakeries in Malacca. All those kaya puffs, everything was great there. So we were expecting the same in Kota Baru and this bakery has been a huge disappointment. The puffs are super dry (and barely have any kaya or taste inside). The chocolate tarts are not that good. Everything else is WAY too sweet, even for Malysia, so sweet that we had a hard time eating it. Even the strawberry shake... I asked twice since I know here they are used to put syrop or sugar everywhere: just strawberry and yoghurt? Yes? Annnnnd bim. I had indeed fresh strawberries mixed with fresh plain yoghurt and I would imagine, half a kilo of syrup.
...
On the bright side, they have a good wifi. But that's not the reason that drove us there...

After being in Kota Bharu 18years ago, we returned and very disappointed to see not only the night market venue had moved but also decreased in size and severely lacking the vibrant atmosphere that made it so special. There are still a number of stalls around selling usual local fare and at least we were able to have our long awaited murtabak pisang (banana murtabak). That did not disappoint and was glad to see it was still one of the most popular stalls.
Not many places to sit and eat unless you buy food or drinks from the places under cover with Seating.
Generally an ok place, but wouldn't be rushing to go back.

Good choices of draught beers and other non-alcoholic drinks. The food choices not much but adequate for hangout with friends while having drinks. I would recommend "The chick in blanket" and "chicken popcorn". Since there is not much pubs/bars in Kota Bharu, try to get there early during weekend or else getting table will be solely on your luck. A place to chill when you visit Kelantan precisely Kota Bharu.

Specifically went there for the local ground coffee, half boil egg and the charcoal grilled bread. This outlet only opens for breakfast and at night. Always full, so be patient to wait for your seat. May have to share table with others if you are alone or in a small group.
Don't miss this place when you are in Kota Bharu.

Had a late dinner there. The taste of ayam percik was average as i can find a better one in KL.When we came, the food actually were almost finished. The staff couldnt reheat our ayam percik as they said there were about to close the shop.We came at 930 and they said that they'll close at 10pm but we found out the crowd were still coming in.So end up we ate a cold food.

I would recommend this restaurant for those who really enjoy tasty food plus it is senior citizens and kids friendly. I love this place because the chefs upgrade/add the menu from time to time and the food tastes really good. During table reservation, the receptionist was really helpful when I asked for recommendations. I love all the food that she suggested! Customers might have tendency to stick with the same menu. Like me, I loved the nyonya style fish but next time I think I should give a try to other fish menu for a change. Do inform the receptionist all special request and she would be happy to accommodate the customers. My family & I were really happy having lunch & dinner there and we could not wait for the next occasion!
