This a great family run restaurant that together with the Villa Panorama was the reason we choose Plat for two weeks holiday. Both aspects make you feel like royalty! The King is small and intimate with all meat and fish cooked in front of you in the restaurant. The fresh fish was brilliant, but for me the lamb chops were even better. The portions are large and I even took a sample back to our Villa for out hosts to try, and they agreed that the lamb chops are to die for. The steaks looked excellent although we didn't have time to try them. We could see all customers were re-booking after enjoying their meals. The service is friendly and laid back and it was a joy to eat here on many nights. It did close one Saturday night as they had to fit in their daughter's wedding, a true princess who looked after us very well. The owner is enthusiastic about food and life and seeing him buzzing about making recommendations from the menu and then getting stuck in with the cooking in his own inimitable style was a pleasure. Truly, dinning fit for a King!

In the gentle valley of Konavle, in the lush greenery of the centuries old trees and on the banks of a clean stream named Ljuta, the time seems to have stopped. The National restaurant Konavoski Dvori resting in an ancient mill by the rumbling river not only has a unique location but also offers a tranquil ambiance. The cold Ljuta river during the summer months serves as a natural air-conditioning. It is a perfect place to spend a day enjoying the untouched nature, getting to know Konavle tradition, and eating a delicious food. When you visit the Konavoski Dvori, enjoy the excellent smoked ham, cheese kept in oil, young lamb and veal baked under the iron bell, home-baked bread, grilled trout and other national specialties of this renowned restaurant. Dishes are prepared here in the same traditional way as our grandmothers used to make them and the waiters are dressed in regional costumes.
We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation of some local friends. They were not mistaken, the food is delicious, the waiters were very kind and helpful, and the surroundings breathtaking, we sat by the river and enjoyed our meal in a fresh atmosphere that was just delightful! I took the smoked trout as a starter, my wife preferred a soup (that was sooo tasty!) and then I tried the traditional lamb cooked under the iron bell, I couldn't believe how tender and full of flavor was the meat! My wife ordered a tradicional cooked meat, called pasticada which is served with homemade gnocchi that was simply fantastic. In all, just go and see it for yourselves, I'm recommending it to all my friends!!

With the beautiful views overlooking the ocean around Cavtat my wife and I sat her for a few drinks and some lunch. The menu though not extremely varied was very delicious and they had several craft beers on offer. Our waitress was polite, engaging, approachable and very quick, happy to help and assist and service with a smile. The food was delivered promptly. Great bar and great service

We tried several of the restaurants in Cavtat and this one was, by far, the best we experienced.
The staff were excellent; polite, knowledgeable and helpful, not pushy . The food was fresh, excellently cooked and presented beautifully. The situation on the waterside in the harbour adds to an excellent evening. We went 3 times and were never disappointed.
We were thanked by others for recommending this restaurant, so it wasn't only our experience!

I have written a review of this place before which I gave 5 stars to. I have been many times in past years where it was always excellent fresh food and good value for money.
However the restaurant has now had a face lift and new owners but it has been a dramatic change for the worse. The service is not as good as it used to be and more importantly, the quality of the food has also gone down hill. Big disappointment as I used to enjoy easting here when I visited Cavtat.

This was recommended to me as a great place to watch the sun set, and they were right! Stunning views. There's a lower area next to the harbour and a higher area with views across the bay. Loved the little cats wandering around, looked well cared for and they were super friendly. Food and drink was ok, about standard price for Cavtat.

Local fammily restaurant with traditional home produce food. Beautifull sittings on the river.
Genuine good home family cooking in an unusual environment The restaurant is situated in then countryside by a river and sometimes your table could be under a bridge on the river. They also do group parties as when we were there someone was celebrating their 50 birthday and come from as far as Montenegro.

Lovely place to eat. You can keep the Terrace which has smokers and some traffic fumes but we opted for the dining room which is off the street. Oysters to start were excellent, followed by fish kebabs and fried squid. These are Cavtat specials and these were excellent examples. Wine reasonably priced, service excellent and the home-made cake is just at the edge of dryness. Free liqueur at the end if you’re lucky. All in all, this was fine dining at a fair price and we loved it. Recommended!

Our favourite restaurant so far. Family business with great food and reasonably priced. House wine was very drinkable but food was great. I would recommend but beware Sunday 15th is his last night for the season. Fortunately we can fit another visit in before shutting!
