simply fantastic, the island has wonderful paradisiacal beaches and the Suan Maprao is one of the places where you would stay all your life the rooms are new, very very clean and comfortable, the garden is super well-kept, the breakfast is the best I have had after 5 years coming to Thailand !!!! what can I say! thanks for the wonderful experience I add that on the island you will find more expensive and seafront resorts but none will be as comfortable as suan maprao !!!!! ♥ ️

Kinnaree resort is a small family runned business. The bungalows have sea view and stunning sunsets. There are aircon and fun room. They all incl free water, tea, coffee, hot water shower and fridge. The restaurant offers delicious Thai lunch and dinner. Motorbike rental and taxi service is available. You will be treated like family!!
We've been living in Kinnaree during a year, and we don't regret this choice. We never got bored of the amazing view of our room, the family is adorable and give everything that you need. It's our second home now and our second family, and we will always be glad to come back.

Not bad. nice clean room with a slight whiff of something dead somewhere nearby. Great AC, shower. Scooter rental. A quiet spot with kind dogs wandering about. The place seems to be run by 3 or 4 cool kids, trying their best. One thing to mention, the Map Location on TripAdvisor is absolutely wrong, the place is back about 4 or 5km from where it says on the map, far from any beach. Not a problem if you rent a scooter, just it's good to know, isn't it.

We stayed in this place for 3 nights. Probably, it is the cheapest option on this expensive island... To open our own tent in their garden we paid 150 baht per night! The guy from the reception told us when we cheeked in, that he has a promotion for rent a motorbike - 2 days for 400 baht instead 500 baht. But, the next morning, he told us that promotion is only for people that renting a room and not sleeping in the tent... The WiFi worked only in radius of 10 meters from the reception. The closest and the cleanest bathroom that we found was the toilet of the restaurant near by... On Friday night, the "cool bar" called Bartist, in front of a guesthouse garden (where we put our tents) was open through the night with very loud music and people... So, basically ... we slept on the dance floor of this bar. I know, that Koh Kood is not friendly for backpackers. But, we still paid money... and we felt terrible. We didn't get nothing back - no comfort, no respect, no service!

Our bungalows offer a comfortable way to hear sounds of the jungle: everyone has a private bathroom, a small private courtyard. We offer a restaurant where you can eat thai-food, a rent service of scooter to enjoy the island on your own, a laundry service, Thai and others massages service and you can buy ticket for the boat to Trat, and other islands around here.
After a couple of ok suggestions to eat out we tried this one randomly, turned out to be the best food we had on Koh Kood, the masaman (yellow) curry was incredible and the grilled shrimp were huge and fantastic as well. Go eat here!

Captain Hook Resort is like a hiding place for lost boys who yearn for a special place to release themselves and do what they want to do and do anything out of the framework and where they grasp a miraculous island at the end of rock bay at the estuary of Khlong Yai Ki, surrounded by glittering seawater as it the time would stop moving to allow you to collect good memories. Captain Hook Resort stands on a sloping cliff at the estuary of Khlong Yai Ki on Koh Kood, the lowest island in the Gulf of Thailand, generally known as “Andaman of the Eastern Sea,” surrounded with endless water as if you were on a private island where the seawater is clear crystal and you can enjoy snorkeling to see a variety of colorful fish. Cross the small Khlong Yai Ki stream, you will see a white sandy beach hidden from public eyes. This is where you can enjoy the pure nature. Deep into the Khlong Yai Ki stream, you may enjoy rowing to see the fertile mangrove forests in the mangrove forest reserve. At the end of the stream, you’ll find a small private waterfall where you can relax under refreshing water flown from the deep forests.
Good Service. Well-arranged Meals. Clean Emvironment. Many Acitivities. Warm-welcome. Nice-decorated facility. Get away in a big group, or hide away with family or friends, this place is a perfect destination.

Gumm Lonely Club is a newly renovated old fisherman house located is the south west of Ko Kut.The house is on the water ,in a mangrove forest, just a few seconds from a white sand beach (Ao Phrao Beach). We have two rooms available for guests , one bathroom, area to relax, and a lovely kitchen where you will experiment real homemade thai food by Jang. We are in a village surrounding by lovely neighbors busy in their daily activities. The temperature is cool at night. From the beginning of the sunset to the first moments of darkness, moquitos can show up a little bit but nothing to worry about. Wifi is not available at Gumm lonely club , you can very easily find one in some resorts and restaurants close by. If you really want to have an internet access , you could also buy a sim card ( AIS Network ) in a 7-Eleven shop just before coming to Ko kut and charge it the way you want. The 3G is works very well here. Renting Moterbike is an easy thing and get you ready to explore the island . Please be aware before coming of money exchange / withdrawal as our beautiful island does not offer a lot of possibilities.
Gumm and Jeng are a lovely Thai couple from Bkk who speak very good English and know how to make you feel at home. The homemade food is delicious and the atmosphere very cozy with some occasional light jazz and bossa nova music. You may hear two or three boats in the early morning but the experience of living in a fishermen's village is worthwhile. Their cats are also adorable and playful. Gumm knows the island well so he can recommend nice spots according to your tastes. All in all a wonderful experience. We'll come back.
