Lots of great local beers on tap. Lots of selections of local food in menu. Menu with good English descriptions. Waitress also spoke English.Nice looking restaurant on river next to Theater Square.Food and service were great. Lots of food for the price.Try fried bread with cheese spread with beer!
We visited Mudu for mu husbands birtday dinner. For starters we ordered snack plate with sausage, cheese, melion and apple jam - nice first meal. Main course we tried mussels and shrimps. Both were excellent especually mussels. We even ordered extra bread to eat all the sauce which was outstanding! Great place!

Taverna Ferdinandas offers a unique experience of Russian cuisine, it would be hard to find something similar in the Baltic States, or even in Russia! The recipes are composed using the Old Believers' notes and also using the notes of an Earl, Piotr Stoly
It wasnât too busy place on a Sunday afternoon that seems to be typical for majority of restaurants outside the city centre. Good service, good place if you are ready for a russian type cousine. Very nice service, generally good and tasty food. We did enjoy some stroganina as a starter and some fish. Not sure if this is really kind of âbring your own bottleâ place, but the lady was kind to open up our bottle (wine choice wasnât too great here). No wonder the choice of vodkaâs was more eye catching :) You should try âkwasâ (kind of russian cola made of black bread) which was really great and very nice tasty soft drink.Thank you so much for writing such a thorough review and thanks for visiting our restaurant. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere in our restaurant. We also appreciate you giving us a few tips on where we can improve. We do have over 25 wine options to choose from and are sorry to hear that you didn't find any suitable ones for you. We will look into expanding our wine list and as for vodka, we do indeed have quiet a few options. We look forward to you visiting us again soon!

We were here for a couple of cold beers (light Svyturys did not disappoint), service was fairly prompt (a bit too prompt, mains were served as we were still finishing off starters). Menu is large and was written in 92648 languages so was like flipping through a dictionary, but wait staff spoke English. We had the specialty avocado starter and cold beet soup which were both tasty, and then a chicken dish with "prawn sauce" (a couple of shrimps on top of the chicken) which was not overly spectacular, and some fried potato dumplings which were good value for money. Had a royal cheesecake for dessert which was beautifully presented but upon closer inspection, decorated with frozen fruit. Overall for â¬32, can't complain, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Traditional Lithuanian cuisine - experience the most popular national meals, discover new tastes! The interior and the atmosphere is created to resemble unique old village style.
Katpedele specializes in European and Eastern European food. Located in a converted "warehouse" along the Dane River among the warehouse row. My wife had a bowl of Lithuanian Saltibarscai (Cold Beet Soup) , and I had a bowl of the Kopustiene duonos. cabbage based soup (similar to Polish Kopusta) which was served in a bread bowl. We coupled our meal with Svyturio Baltas local beer from the Svyturys Brewery (you see signs all over for this beer).. And lastly we shared a Didzkukulian- which is a Lithuanian potato-meat dumpling. Everything was absolutely delicious...and very relaxing experience at an outside table facing the River, and we could people watch while eating. Granted it was lunch, but the entire meal only came to 20.80 euros (about $23 in US). Highly recommended! We may never get back to Klaipeda, but if we did, we would go back to this restaurant. Also, there is a big "boat shaped" bar on the interior of the restaurant and lots of seating.

Small local food Restaurant, Family owned in the heart of the city. Next to Amberton Klaipeda Hotel, 6 mins walk from Cruise ship berth. 5 mins Walk from the Old Town. Famous for Lithuanian cuisine, especially for Cepelinas, Kugelis, Karbonadas dishes.
Amazing place! As a citizen of a former soviet country myself I found it fascinating that this place still has some magically good, nostalgic vibes of soviet catering system. There are plenty of authentic Lithuanian food, but I tried only Zeppelin dumplings and they were the best I have ever had.

Our guide recommended we try this place to get an idea of what local potato dumplings tasted like - so glad we did! We can sure understand how they would be welcomed in winter with their heartiness and rib-sticking quality. Delicious. We also tried the tree cake, which was sort of like a very branched-out cookie. A busy place so service can be slow but worth the wait if you have time!

Friedrich's arcade is one of the most vivid symbols of Klaipeda. Long and colorful history of the old town and progressive modernism meets here. This unique space represents the lively tradition of the biggest European capitals to transform whole streets
We were visiting Friedrich passage with family and kids. We ordered at a tea-house milkshake, cakes and macaroons. Milkshakes were terrible. They were supposed to taste like strawberry and vanilla, but it just tasted like milk without anything. Macaroons were without taste too, only sugar (even so we were told that they had different taste). It was very bad quality at a tea-house. We were very disappointed and embarrassed in front of our guests from other country.

Visited this place to show my partner how amazing Cheese fingers are in this place. To only discover that their potato flapjacks are one of the best ones I have ever tried. Service can be quicker, I believe hiring extra staff would do the trick. The only issue is, as this place relocated there has been a struggle to find where to go to. Neither Facebook page or official website has updated address of the venue.

To start off, this restaurant has lots of character! Itâs like stepping back in time! The waitress has a bubbly personality and she was always smiling. The owner/ host was gracious and hospital. He made small talk with us and was very helpful with the drinks menu. He treated my husband to a couple of shots immediately when the waitress made an error in our order. I had no food pics to post as the lighting wasnât favorable. My husband had the steak and I had the caviar pancake. Both dishes were delicious and plenty. The host was really kind and offered to show me how to wrap up the pancake, and generously offered seconds. The dining experience was just amazing. When he found out that my husband made the reservation 3 months ahead, his gesture told us that he truly feels honored. Highly recommend.
