BEACH AND CLIFFS - Located in the wildest and most natural part of the island, between a long stretch of bone-white beach and unique coral caves, the resort offers its lucky guests a wonderful haven of quietness, exclusiveness and privacy. SEA AND AMBIENCE - The facility is made up of several blocks completely overlooking the splendid Kizimkazi bay. The charming, intimate and peaceful atmosphere, along with the location and the respectful size of the hotel towards the island's nature make it the ideal place to spend a pleasant and relaxing holiday. On your right, you come to the "Vanilla Center", a multi-service complex including the Boutique, the Fitness Studio and the Library with Internetpoint, located between the Reception and 12 more Deluxe rooms, laid out across two floors which take you up to a luscious green. Amazing place in Zanzibar where to stay and unforgettable experience of our Honeymoon. ? We stayed there for sixth days in Honeymoon villa. Everything there was so good, the food, drinks, property, nature and people were perfect! That hospitality was a great experience for us, because this kind of kindness and politeness we saw at first time in our lives. This was perfect place for Honeymoon, the dinners on the top of the ocean with sunset, the breakfasts with warm wind on the terrace of our villa! We got a new friends there, John, Kephase and others who made our days wonderful! ?☺️ Even the information what they gave us was so good and important! For example the contact information for Safari was perfect - the company Nature’s Land Safari with ranger Innocent made unexpected Safari experience for three day’s. We are so thankful for everything! We love you guys and hope to see you again one day! We suggest everyone once in a lifetime visit this place. ❤️ Any dollar what we spent on this six days was worth of it! And we know that in few years we will go back to remind ourselves about our new star like a family ?❤️

Why not sleep and wake up with the dolphins! Promised Land Lodge located in the south coast of Zanzibar in the dolphin village called Kizimkazi. 50 km from Stone Town and 20km to the east coast. Promised Land Lodge is designed with traditional Zanzibari features to create a unique cool and relaxing environment with tropical garden with direct access to the beach and warm water of the Indian Ocean. It is a place where you feel at home as seen in our reviews.
The food and views are amazing but on my first visit to their restaurant for dinner on the 8th june they had no change for USD ($2 due back) and on my second visit for breakfast on the 9th june i paid in shillings and they still had no change (8000 shillings due back). They either have a sense of entitlement or they clearly cant be bothered to ensure their clientelle get their change no matter what. If your a walk in client take change.

The resort has 12 rooms on the seaside and it is located on the southwest coast of the island, just an hour from the Old Town of Zanzibar, and bordered by a private white sand beach. Located close to the fishing market of Kizimkazi allowing tourists to experience the local fish trading or arrange fishing trips with the locals. The virgin environment is serene and will appeal to a nature lover with breath taking sunsets on this side of the island. Light ocean breeze gives off a magical feeling accompanied with tranquil scenery. Hidden between coconut trees, this hotel is the perfect place for a holiday away from civilization and hectic life style. The authentic simplicity and traditional life style was balanced with the relaxing and comfortable rooms all equipped with a fan and air-conditioning. Neutral décor with traditional bed are carefully chosen to create balance between the two.

It's located on a quiet beach in the south of the island, far from the crowded tourist areas. Kizimkazi's beaches are unique to Zanzibar not only for the beautiful uninterrupted views of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean, but better still the surrounding waters are also famous as the playground for Zanzibar's dolphins! Our purpose is to offer comfort, hospitable service, good food and friendly ambiance, yoga & ayurvedic massage, among others. Thoughtfully designed to suit every discerning traveler, with good taste, conserving the African and Swahili style.
The rooms could have been of higher quality. There were no windows in the property. So when there was a storm, inside the rooms got soaked including electrical outlets. The manager accused of vandalising the door when we informed her that our door didn't lock. Once reported, she did not fix it and told us we shouldn't be concerned. We reported our door didn't lock at 11am, we had to wait in reception till about 10:30pm until they rectified it (reluctantly). We reported our concerns to booking.com but they were unable to help as our account of events was different from the owner despite speaking to the owner before hand. We were initially allocated the wrong room. No water dispenser. all other hotels we stayed in within Zanzibar either provided a water fountain or free bottled water. Whilst the manager knew we waiting to speak to her, she ignored us and walked past us so that she could go have her evening meal, leaving us sitting in reception. the mosuito net above one of the beds was ripped and drooped too low over the bed not leaving much room to sleep.

Eleven spacious private villas. From your ocean view terrace you can watch the local fishermen sailing the Indian Ocean. A breathtaking sunset is yours. All villas are beautifully decorated in Zanzibar style. In our beautiful garden with old mango and baobab trees many indigenous animals find their home. The rare Red Colobus monkeys often come and play. In the middle of the tropical garden, a large specially conditioned swimming pool is situated.
I stayed 2 weeks and loved every minute. It is set in a small tree lined semi-jungle area so feels very rural and authentic. The sea is pristine. The beach is tidal. You can swim at high tide which in my 2 weeks meant I could swim in crystal clear turquoise water twice a day. Nt another tourist in sight most of the time. I could snorkel too, which was lovely. At low tide it is harder to swim (although there is always the swimming pool at any time of day) but then you can rock-pool and walk quite far on stunning empty white sand beaches. I understand that on some Zanzibar beaches there is an unpleasant number of people selling goods but this is a working fisherman's beach and I could walk without anyone hassling me. The accommodation is amongst trees with lots of wildlife - monkeys, lizards, elephant shrew, small deer, squirrels, hyax, even puma. The food was great - menu catered for all sorts of eaters and features western and local cuisine. Menu was also changeable and staff were willing to cater for my particular likes and dislikes. There is no wi-fi in rooms, but good wifi in shared areas. No air con so it was hot at night. But view of the sea and sunset from the rooms was unbelievably beautiful. The staff are constantly contending with wildlife since it is a rural setting, but they cleaned very thoroughly and given the challenge I was amazed how few bugs I had in my room. And the mosquito net was very sound and kept me mosquito free at night.

Sarabi means mirage. Every day around 6pm the sun sets over the island. For one special moment, when the sun touches the sea, the sea turns into a mirage creating an unforgettable sight. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this amazing sunset with you.
This was my first time to this side of the island, Kizimkazi is almost at the bottom tip. Hence there are limited beaches, but Sarabi had a beach of about 300meters. A well layed out place with 22 rooms. When I arrived Mahmood the manager had given me an upgrade. Nice surprise. There were a couple maintenance issues in the room that were promptly taken care of. Room was spacious. Small plunge pool, in front was great. Swimming pool was fantastic, well maintained. Mahmood and his front staff accommodated a request I had for tea in the room . Running was good, I used the jungle road and beach. Fresh fish dinners on the beach with local beach boys. Taxis were plentiful, Mahmood took care of this. He was extremely helpful with me getting my PCR test to travel back to Nigeria. A quiet place, were plentiful to go out snorkeling. Sarabi has great potential, to be one of the best in that area. The restaurant menu needs some work, more creative dishes, some local fare and fresh seafood nightly. Most of the restaurant staff were great, although some had little English, so it helped to use my Swahili. I would recommend to anyone that doesn't require a heavy party atmosphere.

The Mnana is a small, cozy and unpretentious lodge, but to make life better for our guests. Can accommodate 16 people in five rooms with private bathroom and balcony and in an open space above the restaurant. The guest house is situated in Kizimkazi countryside, not far from the sea. We serve Multi cuisine food and snack, relaxing garden, private beach, free WiFi in room & common area.
Purposely spent 2 nights in new year's eve in the less-crowded southern Zanzibar after Kili and Safari, a pleasant and cosy stay to re-energize ourselves, do nothing just relax enjoy beer and music at the seaside. Feel homey in Mnana Lodge, the host is an italian woman, great food too. Very primitive and nature life here, btw the tazanian countdown party was memorable. Hakuna mata!

I booked two nights in a double room for USD30 per night for myself and a friend, without breakfast. On checking in, we asked whether a laundry service was available. After examining our load, the proprietor quoted 15,000 Tanzanian shillings (about USD6.50) and said it would be ready the same day or the next. It was by far the highest laundry price we'd seen in Africa, but we had flights to catch and it was important for us to get our clothes washed. So we agreed. The following evening we were sitting on the verandah reading, when the proprietor passed by and casually remarked "don't forget your laundry". She was pointing at a laundry tub with another one on top, functioning as a lid. When we looked inside, the clothes were absolutely soaked. We were shocked, and astonished at her indifference. We asked her why they were not dry and she replied that it had rained during the night. We reminded her that we had flights to catch the next day, so she reluctantly agreed to let us hang our laundry on the washing lines under the upstairs verandah (which is fully sheltered from the rain). We didn't understand why our clothes hadn't been hung in this dry place by the person who had done the washing. We had to wring a lot of water from our clothes. As we did this, our hands became sticky and clammy, and we soon realised that the clothes were not even *clean*, let alone *dry*. At check out, the proprietor insisted on collecting the full amount for the laundry. She absolved herself of all responsibility for the washing, except in being paid for it. Behind my back she claimed to my friend that I had entered into a direct arrangement with one of her staff, entirely beyond her responsibility. This was a shameful lie. The fact is that we never even met this staff member, and our entire experience was transacted exclusively through her. We knew that it was not worth insisting. She has a working relationship with the local beach boys (thugs) and we would likely have ended up having to pay them as well as her. We had to check out with clothes that were still wet and stinking. They need to be washed properly before being worn. We felt disappointed and angry. She deliberately cheated us, so i would not recommend this place to anyone.

We have a small and beautiful Lodge in the center of Kizimkazi in South Zanzibar, 100m from the Beach. You can book up to 8 different rooms (Price per room). The spot is perfect for dolphin tours, snorkeling, sailing, island tours and so much more. You can also have breakfast, lunch and dinner made and served by our cook. Especially the seafood is one of the best.
I stayed there two nights. The place is safe, quiet, beautiful and the food is amazing. Omar and Karim took very good care of my girls and I. They organised our swimming with dolphins, snorkeling and made us lunch on a private tiny island. I would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Zanzibar.

Swahili Beach Resort is a new beach bungalow resort on the famous Dolphin coast Kizimkazi. Kizimkazi is an unexploited village, indulged in traditional Zanzibarian life style, full of rich culture and surrounded by peaceful, warm and welcoming people. Swahili Beach Resort is situated on the most beautiful part of the south coast and the entire resort is embedded in a lush and spacious garden with the white sandy beach as your doorstep. In front of the resort lies the Indian Ocean, offering you the opportunity for snorkeling, diving and swimming with the dolphins and countless other marine species.
We stayed for five days. The cottages are amazing and the food was wonderful. We were only miserable because of the bees! that come in the dining hall. breakfast time. And the down sea view restaurants.
