Spend 2 nights here. We drove here. My husband had a heart attack at around 5.30 am. I was trying to save his life doing CPR for him. My son took over and I quickly called the receptionist to get an ambulance. I told him "my husband has a heart attack, call ambulance now!", the receptionist asked me "call ambulance ?" and I repeated saying "Yes, yes call ambulance now !! now!!" Time passes and after a few minutes, we did not hear any siren. Sensing something is not right, I told my son to go down to the receptionist. When my son returned, he said that an old male rexeptionist was manning the counter and he did not call the ambulance. Instead one of the hotel guest came to assist my son and contacted the ambulance (the hotel guest saw my son was panicked and speaking in basic japanese to the receptionist". My son told me that when he aporoached the old male receptionist, he told my son that he thought we told him not to call the ambulance and only then the old receptionist start "searching" for the desk phone..my son know how to speak some basic japanese and told me that the old receptionist was "pretending" to search for the desk phone and still did not make the call. It was the hotel guest who assisted him to call the ambulance using his handphone. We were dealing with a life and this old man can ignore my pleads !! He pretends not to know the urgency of the matter. My husband was pronounced dead in the hospital. The next day, a fifferent "younger male" recptionist assisted us by driving us (with our luggage) to another better sister hotel called Grand Kimitsu and we were very grateful to him. I have a mixed feeling of this hotel service. I am still very angry with the older male receptionist.

Things were a bit off when we had trouble getting into the hotel from the carpark. Not sure if they were doing renovations or whatever, but there was no clear path from the carpark to the hotel, and we had to walk all way around the outside of the hotel. Things didn't get better once we got in, as the hotel was really, really basic and seemed like it had been put together in a rush with duct tape. Everything seemed pre-fab and compartmentalised, and it had a feeling of a donga mining camp accommodation. The location was okay, being close to the train station and close to conveniences (restaurants, Lawsons convenience store, etc), but that's where the good runs out. The "restaurant" area felt like an add-on, and breakfast was average at best. The rooms were tiny and cramped (barely any room for me to fit), and certainly no space to do work. I had to move the TV and phone off the desk just so I could set up my laptop. The rooms were really hot and stuffy, but thankfully had airconditioning. The bathrooms were like a caravan bathroom, but at least the water was warm. The hotel was very basic, but if all you need to do is go and sleep, then it suffices. I don't think I could have done more than one night here...

I've stayed at Hamilton's for 3 nights. There aren't much to do around the neighbourhood. Kimitsu is mainly an industrial area so if you are not a Japanese getting married there probably you went for business.Hotel staff is very friendly however they don't speak English apart from the very basics. You have to make a reservation for dinner in advance because the restaurant does not operate during the working days. You have a choice for international or japanese breakfast. International breakfast is standard and consists of two slices of fruit (apple and orange), a glass of yogurt with cereals, two fried eggs accompanied by two very small sausages, a glass of orange juice and a smal bowl of salad. Rooms are relatively comfortable and clean, equipped with a flat tv and room fridge (having two small bottles of mineral water). Wi fi internet access is free of charge and available around the hotel. Bathroom cleanliness was average. The shower curtain was dirty. The filter of the exhaust fan was clogged, looks like never replaced before and there was a strange smell in the bathroom. If you are looking a place to stay shortly at Kimitsu, Hamilton is just ok

Stayed at this small hotel for a night. The rooms were very small, old looking and smelly. I mean it was only 100 dollars with breakfast included but I think they should renovate the place. If you’re use to more high end type of hotels then I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
