This restaurant is an excellent seafood and steak place but also has things on the menu younger kids might like such as pasta. The quality and imagination of the food prepared is wonderful and reasonably priced and the portions are generous but not too much. My husband’s steak was superb - the best steak we have ever had in Kenya (we had been told in advance by others this was so) and it did not disappoint at all. The oysters were also very good and the fish and prawns. The service was also excelllent and the courses brought at just the right times. It is not a large restaurant so on holidays it is worth booking in advance. The decor and atmosphere are lovely and it is designed well to catch breezes. We will definitely be back!

Situated on the South side of Kilifi Creek, this bar and restaurant is used by residents and visitors alike. Serves a variety of dishes such as fish and chips, crab salad and prawns piri-piri. Delicious burgers are also available as well as vegetarian pasta. The samosas are famous as a snack while drinking in the friendly bar.
Got to the boatyard about 4.30 saturday arvo expecting oysters for "oyster night". Unfortunately they were sold out. Their boat was also broken down which meant we had to get boda bodas both ways which took a while from Kilifi Creek. The fish was ok, the calamari was slightly better. The waterfront view was the highlight.

This a relatively new Restaurant/Bar/Cafe at the northern end of Mtwapa situated in the Mtwapa (Tusky's) Shopping Mall.
Unfortunately not many people frequent this Mall (or Tusky's) and so La Follia is totally under used and therefore lacks any atmosphere. I have eaten in here at least a dozen times.
The food is usually good and reasonably fast. I have had two or three of the Pasta dishes and several of the Entrees and have not been disappointed with any of them.
The service is normally very good but the prices are on the high side. The prices are Nyali type prices which are far too high for Mtwapa.
Whilst the food is good the prices need to be lowered to attract customers which might then. give the place some atmosphere. At the moment it is completely soulless and has no atmosphere what so ever. ~This is not help by the clinical nature of the decor and furnishings.

The Beach Bar is now open 6 days a week, Closed on Mondays. Great Seafood menu, Kids Menu, groovy bar with delicious cocktails and an amazing beach location.
Went for lunch. It's an amazing place, on the beach, with the reef in front of you. Lots of sand for children and dogs. You can easily stay the day here, sitting in the shade, eating and drinking to your heart's content.
Order the steak and chips - EXCELLENT. Perfectly cooked, well presented and quick - no waiting for ages for your food to arrive from dis-interested waiters.
All the staff took great care to ensure you were served and your glass refilled if required.
Wish I had had the starters, I saw them coming past - long wooden plates FILLED with a range of starters - either for the VERY hungry or for a table. The menu is on a blackboard brought to your table!
Perfect place to while away a few hours, leaving the kids to run around on the beach.
Dogs are welcome and do not get in the way - too much for them to do.
Met the owners, and they are great - ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
Unlike most beach bars that I have used in Kenya or over the years, this place looks after you as though it were a "proper" restaurant.
Go there, eat a good meal and have a drink. You will not regret it.
Would have taken some photos of the food...but I ate it as soon as it arrived, it was so good.

Amazing place. The steak, fresh lobster, calamari were delicious. The Spanish omelette for breakfast was light, oil free and I miss it. Prices were a bargain. Ate there every day and everything I had was fantastic.

Perfect stop over for lunch, coffees and ice cream. Anthony and the crew are pleasant, the decor is inviting and the shop has remarkably awesome eco-stuff!

The sands Mandharini Beach Bar & restaurant is set on a white sandy beach with amazing views of the calm Kilifi creek. Our cuisine is drawn from a rich collection of sea food,African, Asian, Vegeterian, and conventional meals options. Our cocktail bar will serve you the best of the best mixes. We are open Tuesday - Sunday.
Stunning location, first class service, great food. I wish I had come here sooner. A refreshing change. The venue is world class, the view over the upper creek spectacular. I chose the calamari which was delicious. The staff were super well trained and friendly. I wish the owners the best as this place truly deserves to succeed.
