In fairness, the floor staff do try, they're very friendly normal people.
Not sure why the Jollibee system and management hierarchy so greatly handicaps their customer service. Witness yet another overall unsavoury experience.
Attended with pregnant wife, kids, and extended family circa Apr 2012.
Staff is friendly, but mistakes happen regularly.
Family got their order. I watched them eat while I waited 45 minutes for my "Champ" burger.
They finished, wanted to go back to our house. No "Champ" for me. I finally inquired.
They asked me for the receipt that *they* were holding (their policy) while waiting to
complete my long-overdue order. 10 minutes of explaining Jollibee policy on them holding receipts, to succeeding levels of Jollibee staff. With family impatient to go home, Jollibee finally offered to give me the burger I waited for almost one hour - if I wait another 15 minutes with family yammering to go home!
I asked for a refund. Ten minutes later, they offered me *HALF* the amount of the missing burger. I asked them if I can buy the burger with that. They said "no, of course not". I asked for a proper full refund so that I could buy that burger next time". Another 10 minutes of staff consulting with each other, with the (paraphrased from Tagalog) answer "no, we will not refund the value of the burger you ordered".
I finally suggested that instead they might give me a credit-voucher for the missing burger that I might redeem on my next visit. Eventually someone (apparently a very young manager) condescended and produced a duplicate of the receipt they had withheld, circled and initialled the missing burger.
Cut to conclusion. 3 more visits, no burger available! They finally produced the missing
burger on our 4th visit thereafter, 3 months after their screwup. It might have tasted better
had they delivered it when I first ordered it.
Hungry fast-food diner beware. Don't know what's wrong with Jollibee or why they don't care.

My very pregnant wife said "Jolibee". I said "AJ", knowing that for just a small fraction extra we'll get MUCH better food for all and I can pay by card saving scarce cash. Same general part of town. AJ won, and we won, enjoying with their usual tasty menu.
While there, a foreigner noticed I'm not native and asked me (in English) if I knew where he could find a 5-star big-city-style western-food restaurant in Kidapawan. I suppressed laughing, and told him that he's standing in the closest to such that he's going to find in Kidapawan. This may be the provincial capital, but it's not exactly metro Manila here! The menu at AJ's is about 1/2 Pinoy and 1/2 western, and whatever you order it's invariably yummy and you will leave "busog na busog" (satisfied and full).
We periodically treat ourselves and whoever family is with us, typically spending close to PHP1K, including drinks, which is about $25. Kids friendly, in general very friendly.
Conveniently directly across the street from our oldest son's school.
Credit cards accepted, including international cards (pay at the hotel office; the staff will help you if it's your first time). If the lines are down again, cash is also accepted.

Karahay Eat-All-You-Can is a budget-friendly restaurant in Kidapawan City that offers home-cooked meals. For only P135, guests can already enjoy a buffet meal which already includes soup, dessert and bottomless iced tea. Sunday lunch costs P160 because of the inclusion of pork lechon (roasted pig). Because it is so affordable, it became a big hit in the city that is why they are going to expand their restaurant soon even though they just opened in October last year.
When I visited, the buffet menu consisted of pork barbecue, chicken curry, tuna paksiw, pork sisig, pork with black beans, mussels (tahong), and pork kaldereta. The side dishes served were ensaladang talong, tuna kinilaw, and sauteed bean sprouts, while the dessert was fresh fruits.
The dishes were generally good but the pork barbecue was my favorite. The meat was tender and the sauce was flavorful. It was so good I finished 10 sticks and even ate the fat which I normally don't like. I also liked the chicken curry because of its the rich sauce and the tuna paksiw because it has the right salty sour taste.
Although their pork sisig, pork with black beans, and pork kaldereta weren't really bad, a little improvement may still be done. The pork sisig could've been a lot better if it was kept crunchy. Since it was already cold, it was quite greasy. I found the pork with black beans too salty, maybe the addition of some sugar would improve its taste. I personally want kaldereta spicy and sweet with peanut butter, theirs wasn't so rich and lacked spice.
As with other food establishments, safety is of utmost important. Hopefully, Karahay would have a way of keeping the foods warm not only for safety but also for a better dining experience. Although the restaurant's just simple, it was kept clean. The staff were also very friendly and were watchful of the flies so that the foods won't get contaminated.
