Where to eat African food in Khartoum: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This is a new Syrian café on the second floor of a corner building on Ahmed Mekki Abdu street in Khartoum 2. Layali Dimashq means Tonight Damascus. The ambiance is pleasant as the place is more or less secluded and not in the middle of exhaust fumes and noise. It is traditional Arabic, but has tables and chairs, so you don't have to sit on the floor.I had a wafle with chocolate ice cream, better than average in Khartoum. The wafle was warm and crispy as it should be, topped with a thin layer of fluid chocolate. Delicious indeed. Price just under 2 USD. Service could have been faster perhaps, but was average by Sudanese standards. A pity there is no WiFi and no menue in Latin script. This place is a café, not a restaurant. They do not serve meals.
Top 10 International food in Khartoum, Khartoum State, Sudan
The restaurant is big and they sell Syrian desserts...very yummy. They have a big selection in the menu and it is good food. The servers doesn't speak English so you would have a hard time explaining your order especially if you do not understand the menu.Very nice place so with the washroom but I find their service too slow.
Outside, inside at tables, inside sitting on the floor, family rooms or even VIP rooms: this restaurant has it all, can be super busy and noisy, but is worthwhile going to. From dry, spicy fried fish to a whole lamb they serve everything Yemen has to offer in terms of food. Tasty, clean, generous and genuine. A culinary adventure I highly recommend and truly enjoyed.
