We loved our experience at Keystone Lodge and Spa. Beautiful country and the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel does not provide ski equipment, lessons, but they are available at the Keystone Ski resort, that the lodge is a part of.

I am not from the area, and I was there for a few days. I was initially told that there was no food services available due to staff shortage and it being out of season for the time being, so that was an instant problem for me given the point that I am also pregnant, so the accessible (in building) services would have helped. All that was available were small amounts of concession-like snacks (skittles, candy bars, few chips, granola bars) and slight options for drinks (a few gatorades, ginger ale, water, and a few others) which the drinks alone were $3 a piece. I spent a little over $5 on just skittles and a ginger ale. I was also given a high rate for an 'incident charge' in which I initially knew nothing about until checking in to the hotel, and the guy said I had to use an 'in person' card for the transaction instead of what was on file (which in my case, this is a work related trip so using my personal card is not usually the option for hotel stays, food, etc.) My two other partners were in a different hotel and said they didn't have a charge so high like that, which mine was around $200 for the incident charge plus resort fee, and there's was less than $100 if I remember correctly, so none of it made sense to me. But, the guy at the front desk was helpful given I didn't have those exact funds in my person account. Also, when I asked about the shuttles, they said they didn't know about the shuttles much besides where they pick people up, so I had to get the number and figure all of that out (which is honestly no big deal)! As far as the views, it was perfect. The room was clean, but the beds and pillows weren't the comfiest in my personal opinion. I was also notified that there was a 'covered' indoor hot tub but turned out it was still technically 'outside', just partially closed in (you could still feel the outside air). The experience in a new area made the stay more worth it because of the scenery and different connections I've made along the way, but I have to be honest when I say that I wouldn't personally want to stay at this specific hotel again if we were to travel to the same area.

A little trouble at first getting our keys, then they didn't work. But after that it was a great location. Quiet at night which I loved. At 10:00 the kids go to bed. The adults go to bed. The bartenders go to bed. The dogs go to bed. Walk to the gondola in the morning. Great skiing. Might want to make your own breakfast and lunch as mountain side is expensive. Comfy beds and a hot tub outside. Lots of variety on the mountain.

Located on Keystone Lake, these roomy accommodations provide the perfect home base to explore Keystone's Rocky Mountain setting. Lakeside Village offers activities ranging from boating and fishing to ice skating on the largest outdoor Zamboni-maintained ice rink in North America. Several restaurant options are available, and free resort shuttles make skiing easy via the Mountain House base area. With a variety of unit types and sizes, the spacious Lakeside Village Condos has options for couples, families and even large groups. Featured property amenities include pool and hot tub access, ski storage, and lakeside activities.
Lakeside Village was conveniently located near a couple of restaurants and Mountain Base. Nowhere Pizza is the best! We ate there twice during our stay. I recommend figuring out the bus routes prior to arriving. Also, parking at River Run is free while Mountain base is not. Found out the hard way when we got a $25 ticket. Rooms were clean and had a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. I did not realize when I booked that our room had Murphy Bed's, but it was not a big deal. It was nice to access to the pool, hot tub and sauna at Keystone Resort and Spa, which was only a couple of hundred feet away. I thought it was the perfect place for new skiers and families. My 9 year, after 1 day of ski school, was able to ski from the peak on Schoolmarm, which is 3.5 miles long. She had no issues. Very family-friendly. Tubing is a must-do. At most, there was a 2-3 minute wait to get on the lifts. We rented equipment from Mountain View Sports in Keystone. They were a bit cheaper than renting from the resort. They were very friendly and accomodating. I would recommend eating at Nowhere Pizza and Dillon Dam Brewery. They both had great food and family friendly.

Checked into Unit #3068. Actual unit very pretty, well decorated with comfortable furniture. Excellent location. Four bedrooms; 2 with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms and 2 with bunk beds. Bathroom in hall. Had full equipped kitchen with oil, herbs, paper towels as starters plus a Keurig coffee maker with variety of coffees available. Three TVs provided. Good layout; in/out skiing to River Run Slope and 5 minutes walk to Village. Good view from balcony and safe area. Keep in mind the unit itself was ok...it was the mishandling and competence of management. There was no cleaning service, which we were unaware of. Blankets had animal hairs all over them; there were urine stains on the carpet in 2 different areas and and scratch marks on the inside of the master bathroom door. It's a no pets unit. Chest at entrance had a broken lock which was very sharp and it was sticking out. Cleaning staff said they were going to report it to management but no one came to fix it. Called to get another condo and was offered one outside the village but we had no car; the other condo they offered was ready next day but was told by management that "it was not a nice condo"; that the one we had was better. With that info we opted to stay where we were for 3 more days. To top everything off we were charged again for our stay even though this was fully prepaid. Took 5 days to get money refunded to me. This is a bad reflection on the condo owner that really has nothing to do with the problems...it's just bad management. Should have heeded the warning regarding Keystone management from other reviews in Tripadvisor. Vacation turned out well at the end but it could have been a fantastic experience instead.

Gateway Mountain Lodge is centrally located in between both River Run and Mountain House ski area bases at Keystone. Walk to the slopes or take the complimentary shuttle that stops right outside the main lobby of the complex. A restaurant/bar, spa, ski shop and liquor store are all located on the ground level of the complex. Enjoy the fitness facility, indoor pool and hot tub or just relax on the common area patio or lobby. Whether you're a party of two or of 10, our inviting mountain accommodations are available in a range of sizes, giving you as much as 2,200 square feet of luxurious space to spread out. Couples can choose an efficiency studio, which is designed as an oversized hotel room and includes one king, queen or Murphy bed - along with a roomy sitting area, full-size bathroom and small in-room refrigerator and microwave for your convenience. If you need more space, one-, two- or three-bedroom units are available with plenty of living space.
This has to be one of the worst places we’ve stayed! They have stupid crazy restrictions! Only one parking spot despite advertising that the Condo can “house an army!” Also YOU HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS TO USE THE POOL FACILITIES! AVOID thus place!

The fact the power had gone out for at least 6 hours during a “1 hour rolling blackout” with no warning or notification of the power outage during 10° weather. No heat and no power. My husband went to the front office to inquire about the situation and found the front office had power but the condos didn’t have generator back-up was stressful especially since I am a disabled veteran with medical devices that NEED power. When we asked about compensation for the time without power, was told that would not happen, even though when my husband went and talked with the people at the front desk about the situation, he was informed we would receive some compensation for the outage. The temps were below freezing, roads were horrendous so couldn’t drive anywhere and had already paid for a service that was not being provided during a time. After we get back home, 2 charges appears on our card that shouldn’t be there. There wasn’t any check out instructions located anywhere in the room and numerous attempts were made to call the front desk for instructions and no answer was ever received. I would not recommend this property. During the power outage, many went to their vehicles to try and warm.

We stayed right in the heart of the village and loved it. The village is full of shops and restaurants and if your lucky live music. We loved being able the sit on our balcony and people watch. The go dam and chair lift rides are an easy walk from the center of the village We can’t wait to stay here again.

I booked a loft for a total of 8 people (4 couples) with the room supposed to have 4 double beds, two twin beds and a pull out couch. Upon arrival it had one full bed, two twin beds, 2 sets of twin bunkbeds and NO pull out couch. Not only did all the couples not even get to sleep together, but because we were all adults the bunkbeds were simply not an option; leaving a couple to try to fit on a couch and/or sleep on the floor. Booking.com and this resort are completely at fault for not giving us the room that we paid for. We've stayed in Keystone area before but will never spend our money on a Keystone affiliated property nor any of the skiing areas. Will stay closer to Breck and commute to Loveland or A-Base. We also contacted Booking.com looking for them to right their wrong, but due to the property not contacting anyone back, there wasn't anything they could do.

Mom of a 12-yr old... need a say more? ? Why yes, I will, because for any parent or guardian looking to create a ski experience that allows for convenient breaks, hot cocoa infusions, and making the whole donning/removing of ski equipment easier, staying at River Run Village is the best way to go. My daughter and I went up for a two-day ski trip and stayed at Silver Mill 8307. We each had our own bedroom, plus as the mom I took the one with the private bathroom. We brought our own groceries, which all fit into the full-size refrigerator, plus the kitchen has all of the appliances you need to make every meal if you so choose. But let me tell you about the ski amenities, because that's the best part. We were able to store all of our equipment - helmets, boots, skis, poles, goggles - in our allocated locker on the first floor. So we'd get on our ski clothes, take the elevator down to the lobby, head to the locker room right there, grab our gear, and put it all on (minus skis, of course) by the warmth of a fire. Then we basically walked out the closest door and in three minutes we're in line at the gondola. Returning to the condo for lunch and at the end of the day was just as easy. Why is this awesome for me and for you, too? Minimal grumbling from the tween! Skiing takes a decent amount of effort just to get to the lifts, and keeping my kid's motivation at acceptable levels for what becomes a pretty expensive outing is why staying at River Run Village is WORTH IT.
