Thank you Leah from Glunz for recommending this spot. Everyone was happy here. I had a lovely piece of fish baked with mushrooms and scallions in white wine. Others had fried shrimp, ravioli, and ribs. Our waiter was incredibly kind and friendly. Would go back.

Savor Florida Keys dining with award-winning tropical cuisine indoor or outdoor at Tranquility Bay Resort's own Butterfly Café. Butterfly Café captures the essence of island cuisine with an emphasis on quality, local ingredients and, of course, ocean fresh seafood in a beautiful airy Marathon restaurant setting. Open daily for dinner, the menu and wine list at Butterfly Café change seasonally. Children will delight in a special menu designed just for them. Dinner is served nightly from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at our restaurant in Marathon and reservations are encouraged. Dine outdoors on Butterfly Café's covered patio, or enjoy the impressive dining room inside with its soaring ceiling and casual yet sophisticated decor. Our dinner menu features tantalizing offerings like Florida Keys’ Shrimp Cocktail, Tropical Crab Cakes, Panko Encrusted Florida Grouper, Key Lime Pie, TDF 'To Die For' Sticky Toffee Pudding and more. Casual resort attire recommended at this Florida Keys restaurant.
We chose to dine at the Butterfly Grill since we were staying at the Tranquility Bay Resort. The shrimp cocktail starters were delicious and my Yellowtail Snapper served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and asparagus was perfectly cooked. My husband had the scallops but found the risotto very heavy for the course. Vanilla creme brûlée and key lime pie topped off the meal. Our server, Amanda, was exceptional and the Willamackenzie Pinot Noir wine she recommended was excellent. Reservations are a must.

Waterfront drive thru coffee shop at small recreational marina with kayaks, paddle boards and charter fishing.
Sadly, we didn't get coffee here (intended to, but wasn't in the mood for coffee when we stopped by for the kayak rentals). We did rent a kayak from them, had it delivered, and also received a ton of advice from the owner on fishing tips, locations, etc. Very friendly.

First time visit. At 830pm it was so busy. We had coconut joy ice cream with hot fudge and vanilla with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce. It was yummy. Would definitely go back to try their key lime cupcake.Thank you for stopping in! Yes, this time of year is pretty busy, especially after dinner. We certainly appreciate our visitors and there love for our island Shop!

The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 23 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison. And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Thursday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!
There are few restaurants where literally every single plate of food is incredible... but Barracuda is one of those rare places. I was expecting a good, quality meal, but this lovely place managed to exceed my high expectations. And the service is excellentI will be going back again soon!

Saturday Happy Hour at Havana Jacks started well. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and took two seats at the bar. The view of the ocean is wonderful. Being surrounded by smokers is not so nice, unless you like a little 2nd hand smoke with your food and drink. We were given a happy hour menu. To our disappointment, the happy hour priced draft beers were all light and didn’t include any craft beer, so we opted for the regular priced draft IPA ($8). A limited list of appetizers is included in happy hour pricing. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It arrived room temperature. When we caught the bartender’s attention, we sent it back. It arrived, reheated, sometime later. We also ordered wings, sesame teriyaki style. They were good. We didn’t realize that the watery blue cheese dressing we ordered had a 50 cent up-charge. We had a passable time and I would have given 3 stars. Back at home, I almost immediately saw an ad in a local paper advertising Havana Jacks happy hour with $2 off every draft beer during happy hour. Based on the add in the paper dated 8/11/17, it seems we were overcharged $8 for our beer.

When you go in, you are asked "Ice cream of food?". We chose food and were not disappointed. I had two chili dogs which were excellent. We didn't order fries but the ones passing us by looked great, with different toppings or plain.

Family owned and Operated Seafood/Meat market and Restaurant. We serve the freshest local seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. Daily Specials; Beer & Wine. Mon.-Fri. 10-8:30; closed Sat. & Sun.
Fish Tales Market & Eatery is a non-descript, easily missed restaurant, but if you're looking for a good meal, look out for it. We stopped for later lunch, as we were heading to Key West. Amber was our server and she was very nice, personable and efficient. We ordered a a bowl of stone crab chowder and a side of corn on the cob. We also ordered a fried snapper sandwich with cole slaw which was the catch of the day. The chowder was really good - perfectly creamy and tasty. I particularly thought that the corn on the cob was one of the best that I had. It just seemed perfect. We did have some room, so we split a piece of key lime pie - also really, really good. There is plenty of parking in front, as well as some outside tables. If you are looking for fresh fish, look no further than their display cases as they have a really good selection of fresh fish - almost deli like. Everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable.

Visited Franks, the highly recommended and only Italian restaurant in Marathon, for first and only time this season. Been there in past years. Small somewhat worn and smoky spot serving bland uninspired Italian dishes on cramped tables. Worst manicotti dish ever. Meat sauce had no zing, and virtually any tomato sauce from the grocery store surpasses theirs. They should exhaust their kitchen smoke elsewhere beside the dining area. Two stars is a gift.

Stonegrill Dining is a new and exciting experience that allows your meal to be presented while cooking on a stone heated to 750 degrees to your table. High temperature sears in all the natural juices, nutrients & flavor giving you a taste beyond anything you've ever experienced. The Stonegrill is moisture activated. When the food is cooked, it will release from the stone, allowing you to turn it over or remove it without sticking. By dining from the Stonegrill, you are able to enjoy a meal freshly grilled to personal taste, whether it be rare, medium or well done. Your food will remain hot, allowing you to dine at leisure. Stonegrill Dining is recognized as one of the healthiest methods of cooking. The absence of oils or fats and the quick searing of food at high temperatures ensure delicious and healthy meals lower in calories that traditional cooking methods allow and taste unique to a Stonegrill.
This is a very large grill and bar,and reservations are recommended for evening dining. The stuffed shrimp with lump crab which I ordered from the Petite Menu was very good. My husband had the special combo of 2 lobster tails and filet mignon. The lobster was sweet and delicious but the filet served with the bone was a turnoff and not as tender as one would expect. On the second occasion, I ordered the yellowtail snapper, a favorite of mine, but the seasoning overpowered this delicate fish. My husband enjoyed the escargots served on a portobello mushroom with a spinach and mushroom cream sauce as well as a very tender beef dip. Service was friendly and accommodating.
