Reviews on Seafood food in Alappuzha, Kerala, India. Often compared to Venice due to its abundance of canals, Alappuzha is the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala. Rent a houseboat for an up-close view of the palm-lined waterways. In August, the snake-boat race is a remarkable festival—each traditional boat has a crew of over 100 local sailors.

Harmony is the main word that comes to mind at LAKE DREAMS,in Kerala. This HOUSEBOAY is a true retreat from the rest of the world, where silence and solitude sooth the soul. It's the perfect place to rejuvenate. Time really does seem to stand still there.
Only accessible by boat, and located next to a boat jetty. The Restaurant which is a typical toddy shop, serves prawns and other fresh sea food.

Having tried all the other local eateries in the area this was definitely a cut above the rest. Anyone who is expecting something on a par with home should go home as this is India and you shouldnât be naive enough to expect anything different. Our meals were excellent, the restaurant is clean and light so you can see what you are eating, the waiters were helpful and gave us some samples for free to try, the serve beer and wine without having to serve it in a mug. And of course just because someone doesnât like a curry does not mean itâs a bad one itâs just not like the one they are use to from the take away!

Superb eatery for sea food lovers. Value for money place with a huge spread of sea food. From Lobsters to Karimeen (Pearl spot) and in many forms, from curry to roast to fry. It is an experience. Popularly known as Unnappan Vaidhyar Kada. It is around 4 kms from the Muhama Junction on NH 47.

If I am going to Alleppey or Trivandrum I plan my journey in a way that I can for sure have a meal here.Very old restaurant been around for ages.Thy still manage to retain the old world charm. Parking during rush hours can be a little tricky. But then all that is okay once you get he food. Their duck roast is superb, so is the meals, appam, kadala curry etc. The coffee and tea are also decent.Service is quick and you can leave quickly. Peak time like finding a parking might be difficult, so is to get a seat to sit. But then its all worth the wait. The owners are as et of brothers and they are always there to take care of you.

It was a dream to have a lovely restaurant at the beach for people to enjoy and chill . We are doing all our best to keep our dream come true.
When we entered the restaurant we were asked to give a tip before we'd even sat down. The waiter said 'Good food - big tip!'We ordered a couple of lassi drinks and some food, and we waited ages and were treated with impatience and waving arms when we enquired when the food would arrive. We eventually got the drinks but they were undrinkable as they were full of hard raw sour papaya! We gave up waiting for the food after 50 mins and went elsewhere.
