Reviews on Contemporary food in Nairobi, Kenya. Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife. Music clubs pulse with life, shops and markets bustle, and a mélange of restaurants will tempt your palate in this former Maasai watering hole. Top sights include the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and the black rhinos of Nairobi National Park. The compact city center is safe to walk in and taxis make other areas accessible.

What I loved- The service was great and the prices were reasonable. The decor was very tasteful and the views were incredible. The honey mustard chicken wings were delicious as starter. The shared platter number one was delicious. And the the food came out fast. The waiter Allan was very great. Areas of Improvement- The music playing was more appropriate for a club scene than a restaurant. Dear Evans we are very grateful to have received your great review. I am very pleased you found the Nyama to your tastes. We appreciate you sharing your constructive thoughts in how we can further grow, I am pleased to inform you that our rockstar team are currently working to implement these changes. Our talent and culture team will be sure to recognise the efforts of Allen who hopes to make you feel welcome at ibis Styles Westlands meat house for another meal in the future.

The Lord Delamere Terrace apparently is established in 1904 and has been a favourite get-together place for high-class Nairobi people. This time, I just had a breakfast buffet. The relaxed and colonial atmosphere should add a touch to your visit to Nairobi. Food available in the buffet is a usual suspect for a hotel breakfast + some Indian/Kenyan delicacies.

Tatu, the signature restaurant, has won several awards for its exquisite cuisine and personalized attentive service. Located on the ground floor of the hotel with access from main hotel entrance, Tatu restaurant is the new trendsetter for modern contempor
My husband and I had dinner at Tatu during an evening stay at the Norfolk Fairmont hotel. The food was great and service was good. The cheese bread before the meal was warm with 2 butter options. Goat cheese app was good. My tenderloin was cooked perfectly at medium rare. We had fries to share as a side. Enjoyed the chocolate cake dessert. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening while in Nairobi.

Featuring carved wooden pillars from Pakistan, elegant Afghan rugs, charming fireplaces, sprawling terraces and idyllic gardens, The Talisman blends fine dining with unbridled eclecticism. We have made every effort to create the ideal ambience for those s
Loved everything about the restaurant from the setting to the food. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. There were lots of choices from with two menus and a drink list as well. The staff knew when to approach and left plenty of time for you to enjoy your meal. I also liked that you did not have to sit in a large group even though we were traveling on a tour of 18. It was more intimate being able to sit at a table of 4. I had a wonderful fish dish and my husband started with sushi that he said was well prepared. Everyone of us ordered something different and all dishes from vegan to steak were enjoyed. By the time dessert came we were all full but still indulged. The wine was also very good.Dear Susan K,Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. We are happy to hear that our staff and service met your expectations. We look forward to your next visit.Until next time.
