Taken there by relatives we were visiting. Great view of Lake Cumberland from the deck.. The best spinach artichoke around. Fried pickles were fairly standard. I had the special of the day, tilapia with a cucumber/crab topping and a sweet chili sauce over asparagus. Fantastic! Wife had the crab cakes with au gratin potatoes which she proclaimed a winner. Aunt got her favorite pecan crusted chicken with sweet potato casserole. Service was excellent. attentive but not intrusive. The pace was a little rushed but not pushy. Atmosphere was informal but conducive for conversation. Price was reasonable for the quality of the meal.

I would say that overall it’s a great place for the food and the atmosphere. BUT the wait staff seem sometimes a little too “cool” to pay attention to “regular” people. So don’t be surprised if they get things mixed up and serve warm, not hot pizza, like they did tonight or the wrong order like last time, But eventually they will get you your order right if you keep asking.Tonight they were out of clean forks. , but....Great pizza!Ernie, I am so sorry for your most recent experience with us. Our goal is to provide all of our guests with the best service and product. Unfortunately, this time we failed to do so. I would like to speak with you further about your visit so we can improve on your next one. Please contact me at 606-425-6151.Felice Parish-Roach

A group of about 20 made an unplanned visit for dinner as we were staying nearby, food was great and plentiful and the waitress coped really well with the sudden influx of diners. H can highly recommend the margaritas which were a bargain at $2. My chicken was really tender and moist too.

Hightops Sports Bar and Grille

We went in with high hopes, even though the place was basically empty. They have a good location & it's large with a covered outdoor seating area. The hostess was very friendly & offered us menus and told us about the specials & her recommendations. We chose to sit outside, which was nice and looked like they sometimes have live entertainment. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese, 4 others ordered the brisket. The table was not clean, the service was slow, the beers were not cold, the food was not hot, and the brisket was fatty & tough. My heaping tablespoon of mac & cheese was also lukewarm & bland. This place has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't go back unless I heard good things.

Harbor Restaurant and Tavern

We were looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner after attending a family reunion near Somerset,KY last weekend. I found this one online and thought it would be nice to dine at a waterfront restaurant on Cumberland Lake. If you go, don't call and ask

I would love to give this restaurant a 5, but I just can't. I have been there many times in the past, both for lunch and dinner. The food is really good and if you get a seat where you can see the marina then the view is good too. However, there are many other restaurants that have good food and a good view that would be quicker and less expensive. Occasionally my friends and I have lunch there. But not as often as we would like because they have just about priced themselves out of the local's ability to do so. Even if we decide to splurge and spend more than a normal lunch, we not only need lots of money, we must have lots of TIME. Don't plan on lunch if you have less than an hour and a half to sit there. You wait to order, you wait for food, you wait for your check, you wait for your change or card to be returned. And I must emphasize the word WAIT. Even if there are few cars in the parking lot, you wait and wait more. I have never figured out what takes so long, but it does. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but people should really know before they go. They must be targeting the vacation crowd who don't care to spend time and money. But busy, average-income locals can hardly go there anymore.
