A group of four had dinner at York Street, and each person raved about his/her meal. The venue itself is historic and filled with fun, eclectic items on display. The server was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he clearly enjoyed his job. From the appetizers (lentil soup, spanakopita, smoked salmon) to the mains (pork loin, chicken skewers) to the desserts (key lime pie, warm butter pecan cake, chocolate peanut butter pie), we enjoyed every bite. In addition, they had a nice selection of wine, and my Cosmopolitan cocktail was perfect! Alas, I live in California and was just visiting Newport, but if I'm ever back in the area, this will be my first choice for dinner. Kudos to the owners and chef and staff for running a truly fine restaurant!

We went while visiting Cincinnati with 3 kids. The kids did well while the restaurant is not designed for them as visitors, mostly young business professionals. They did have crayons and pictures for them to color while waiting for their food. And they had grilled cheese and hotdogs for kids, although the $11 dollars for a kids hot dog and $9 grilled cheese I should have just ordered off the regular menu for them. The hotdogs were very good quality hotdogs, and they can come with a variety of toppings.

Stopped by this restaurant after a Reds game. Pretty cool atmosphere. Their pizza is really good. There's a lot of different beers to choose from. The only downfall was the service. Didn't look like they had enough people to help. Our waitress was a little behind on getting us our drinks. We asked for an extra plate that never came. Other than that experience, it was a good time. Cool vibe.

First time stop at the Palace bar area on Friday night. There is a small bar food menu - sandwiches, salads and a couple of entrees, generally range from $15-26. Only happy hour special is half off glasses of wine - nothing on beer? I ordered a Bourbon Barrell Ale for $8. We ordered jerk chicken tacos and creole shrimp. Tacos came out with 4 per order, they were smaller, there was a spicy red sauce on the tacos, the chicken was not particularly hot itself - it was $15 for these. The creole shrimp entrée had 8, size looked to be 26-30. There were a couple of fingerling potatoes and a couple pieces of pork to make a 'hash'. Wasn't much creole about it other than some Cajun seasoning - $26 for this. There was a half-price burger option which would have been a decent value. We went with a gift card, otherwise, would not have ordered what we did.
