Tastes like the best of 'Old Mexico'. Operated by Mexican Americans who stress quality, taste, freshness, originality off various dishes. Just good, good, food.

Great little treasure in Bowling Green. Ive had everything on the menu and it is all very good. My favorite is the street taco al pastor. My wife likes the rice bowls. The burritos are two handed behemoths. Price are reasonable and the staff is very friendly

We were here, myself, my wife, daughter and daughter's boyfriend on Saturday for a late lunch around 1:00 PM. We arrived before our daughter and her boyfriend so we ordered drinks and queso. The queso and drinks came quick enough but the chips and salsa took more than 10 minutes to finally reach us while the queso cooled and we had to flag down another waiter to get those. Once we got them, the chips, salsa and queso were good. When the rest of our party arrived, we needed more chips and those were slow to come. We went ahead and ordered and splurged for the table-side guacamole. It was not made table side which is kind of the point of calling it "table side" wasn't it?Then we notice people that arrived after our daughter were getting their food. We asked and were told only a bit longer. It took entirely too long to get our food that day and we ordered pretty classic stuff, like taco salads and Speedy Gonzales meals.Usually, they are very quick with the food but they really let me down with my daughter's out of town boyfriend. I'm not sure I'll be in a hurry to go back. This used to be our favorite Mexican place but I now have reason to shop around.

Stopped here for lunch after touring Corvette Museum and Plant. Little over a mile away. Don't let outside fool you. CHEAP, authentic and great!! We had a margarita each ($2.50), guacamole side salad ($3.75), tamale/rice/beans ($4.99) and enchilada/chili relleno/rice/beans ($7.25). One of the best margaritas I've had. Be sure and sit on the bar side as it has more ambiance. They also have outside dining patio. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommend!!!

My kids love Mexican food so we have some tougher critics in the crowd. Maybe it was because we were three hours past lunchtime and rolled in starving but we were all VERY happy with our meals...and cleaned our plates (which is rare for my family with any cuisine.)I had what I thought was going to be a basic taco salad but it was amazing. My husband had the fajitas and my mother had the chicken spinach enchilada - both of them thought they were great. Only my husband had a margarita but he said it was very good too. My kids had the usual taco salads, quesadillas, and tacos but there were no complaints from them. Also, my mother and I both dislike cilantro (tastes like soap to us) but neither of us really noticed it overpowering our dishes.Thank you very much for that nice comment ... we try to do our best to make you feel like family!â¤

El Maguey is celebrated for it's authentic Mexican, homestyle "comfort food". The restaurant's owner Raquel Moran grew up helping her mother run three restaurants in Chicago. Here at El Maguey she continues the family tradition of serving fresh, healthy c

We stopped into El Mazatlan for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were warmly welcomed and given a seat immediately. The menu has many, many selections so if one is a fan of Mexican Food, you will not be disappointed. Our server brought out chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and salsa was mild. When ordering, we both chose the Nachos Supremo. I also ordered a soft drink. It only took about 10 minutes for our order to come. Everything was as we ordered and it was tasty. The Nachos Supremo comes with chips, queso, ground beef, shredded chicken, quacamoli, sour cream and lettuce and tomato. I finished mine, and my wife felt she had a little too much, so I helped finish some for her! We both enjoyed our meal. Our server checked on us several times, and so felt the service was very good. There were other patrons in the resaurant, but it was not overly crowded for that time of day (2 O'clock hour). I can recommend El Mazatlan as a good place to get a tasty Mexican meal.

We stopped in for lunch when we were traveling through town. The veggie enchiladas were excellent as was the smothered burrito. We especially liked the fresh-made, in-house tortilla chips and tortillas. We are likely to return to this restaurant when we are back in town.
