I love Sam's! The dogs are always fresh and taste amazing! It is one of the best hot dog joints in Pikeville! The service is fast and the food is always fantastic! The values and prices are great and the whole family will love them! Plus the homemade chili is great!

Omg! This was the worst experience ever. I had heard it wasn't good but it was terrible. Thought they couldn't mess up toast and fruit but they did. The toast was cold with some kind of fake oleo that wouldn't melt or even scrape off. The fruit was so bad I had to spit it out and it had some type of mushy fruit that was brown, slimy and inedible. Then when they asked how the meal was we told them honestly and they acted as though they were surprised and charged us full price. When I asked if they were really charging us full price they acted as though they were offended by my question. I have never complained about restaurant food in my life. I was stunned. To say I'll never be back is an understatement. I will take any steps I can to prevent people from being exposed to such horrible food.

Really great tasting chicken. Probably the best tasting fried chicken in town. We had never eaten there and wanted to give it a try. Service was great, very prompt and order was mostly accurate. Food came out quickly and dining area was very clean, which should be expected with a new facility. Drink selection was awesome. Dining area was a bit small, with few seating options. Overall a great option if you want to try something a little different, almost had a child-fil-a vibe.

My wife stopped for an early dinner while visiting Pikeville on business. This restaurant had very friendly staff. The service was quick. My wife ordered the sirloin and I the sirloin stir fry. We enjoyed onion rings for an appetizer. Both found our meals and appetizer excellent. Would definitely visit again.

We heard that when visiting Pikeville you need to try the Smashburger so while attending Hill Billy days we decided to stop. Prices were reasonable and the Smashburger was good. He also ordered a pineapple shake. The restaurant needs to provide wider straws when providing thick fruit shakes so that you can get the drink through the straw. The Burger is made to order so you had choices for different toppings so much better than a generic burger and the toppings weren't extra. The flavor was good also. The inside dining area was clean and there was plenty of room to sit.

After attending the Hill Billy Festival my husband want to try Dorsie's so we walk to this restaurant. We heard that Dorsie's had the best footlongs in South East Kentucky and my husband likes to try different foods at area drive-ins. He got a footlong hotdog with added chili and slaw along with a pineapple shake. The footlong was good but not great with a reasonable price of around $2.00. The shake was good but it needed a wider straw to get the pineapple through it. Since we walked to the drive-in there was no place to sit and eat his lunch so he had to stand. It would have been nice to have a table and chair outside since you can't go inside.

Went for dinner while visiting from out of town. Took over an hour to get our food and three out of six meals were ice cold. This was on a slow night with minimal customers. The manager was the only positive part of our visit. Would not recommend surely there are better options.

This Texas Roadhouse is a little hard to get to (gotta watch the roads around the Walmart), but it's worth it. Had the grilled bbq chicken with mashed potatoes and caesar salad. All were very good. Our server kept our drinks filled. We were very happy with our visit.

We traveled well over an hour from Virginia to pig in a poke for our second visit - this time bringing friends to try it out since we enjoyed our first visit. We arrived around 630 pm. The restaurant was surprisingly not crowded for a Friday evening. We ate on the deck and there was another empty table for the duration of our visit. After spending over $150 for dinner we were advised another party was waiting on our table. The hostess seemed embarrassed as she advised of this. It was not even 8:30 and again there were tables available. As a matter of fact, as we left we noted there were TWO people in the waiting area. We were not loud or rude, had been enjoying desserts after dinner, had left a generous tip...the food was good, but we wonât drive the hour plus again to patronize this restaurant. Iâve never been asked to leave the Blue Raven so I suppose that will be our âgo toâ in Pikeville.

Visiting Pikeville and was looking for good food and a nice atmosphere. Did some research and found the Blue Raven from trip advisor. Not sure the reviews do it justice. You can tell the owners take so much pride in their restaurant and especially their menu. Everything I ordered was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Service was also excellent. Cannot wait to return! I highly recommend.
