See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
It's been a while since I ate here, so conditions may have changed. The KFC is not downtown, and it isn't on the Bypass or in a big shopping center, so it mainly serves the KFC loyal followers, local businesses and families, and those passing through to get the technical center of the Hazard Community College. When I have a fried chicken craving, and I'm in the area, KFC is my place. However, my wife has been more likely to frequent Lees, but I think convenience may be the main reason here. The only negative that I see is that sometimes, when traffic is heavy, it is awkward exiting from their drive-through, as three roads join at the exit point. This sometimes causes the drive-through to be gridlocked. When this happens, I walk inside to order, and exit another way.

This Applebees is now smoke-free, and the food tastes good again. The Spinach dip was as good as ever, but the chips are only so-so. The loaded potato soup tasted good, but was thinner than the ranch dressing on my salad. In other words, good but could be better. We'll be back to try other varieties now that we can taste them.
As a subway for life kinda girl, I know how to enjoy myself when dining in to my favorite fast food restaurant. It's unfortunate that this location lacks music like others. The space almost seems wasted, I've never seen more than 3 whole parties In at the same time. I have seen more employees than customers in head counts every time I'm in there. It is sad to see such opportunity going to waste on a daily basis.

Arby's is a leading global quick-service restaurant company operating and franchising over 3,400 restaurants worldwide. Arby's was the first nationally franchised, coast-to-coast sandwich chain and has been serving fresh, craveable meals since it opened i
Five for the food, zero for the service staff, average of three. The wait for your order was excessive. They barely had enough staff for the drive-thru, but we ate inside because every time we've used the drive-thru, there has been an error. While standing in a four-deep line after placing our order, someone commented, "This would be a nice place for a fast-food restaurant." Most agreed.Including the time we spent waiting in line, we spent more than an hour in Arby's, and during that time, NO ONE cleaned off a single table! It wasn't like they were over-run. I looked around and there were four or five tables occupied. So why bother? If you've read any of my restaurant reviews, you know I love Reuben's. Arby's is excellent, with two flaws: this place just slaps the ingredients on the bread, but I know to open the bread and redistribute the goods. And Arby's does not have pickles! I solve this by going by a grocery first and bringing my own. Problem solved. Now if I could get them to hire capable employees!
When we want seafood in Hazard, we have two choices, Captain D's and Long John Silver's. As far as taste, I have no preference. Here are Captain D's advantages:They are on the west end of Hazard, near most of the local motels and shopping areas, close to the intersection of Highway 15 and Route 80.They have daily specials, including two Senior Days each week. They have a drive-thru and a friendly staffNegatives? It seems like their servings are slightly smaller, and I wasn't impressed with the crab. It was like stove-top dressing crammed into a crab shell and baked. A plastic fork is inadequate for removal.I still recommend Captain D's, but skip the crab.

I was fine with this place until a roach crawled across my table while I waited one solid hour for my food and the waitress slammed the plates on my table....Ewwww

Just what we were looking for. I ordered the Tuesday Roast Beef special, slow roasted with homemade gravy, mashed potatoes and peas were my side choices and cornbread sticks. Jen had the homemade chicken and dumplings and said "that was SO good". She also had the fried okra and they have a ton of sides to choose from including deviled eggs. Clean and tidy old school cafe style withittle red hard bench booths. Prices are great and service was perfect.

Baby back ribs excellent. Friendly staff. A pleasant surprise on my first (and probably only) visit as I travel thru this area.

We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
We were passing through Hazard and noticed the Huddle House, lots of car parking and a friendly welcome. A great menu to suit most tastes, we had the BLT with fries and rings, great tasting and good value. A lovely find, we don't see that many as good as this.
