Persian and Mediterranean Restaurant and Takeaway, Nestling in a secluded location in the middle of Aberfeldy, in Highland Perthshire. CheCheks unique style and excellent cuisine combined with the friendly temperament of it's owner and chef make it an excellent choice for both Lunch and Dinner.
To be honest we didn't expect to find much of an evening in the little town but this place is amazing. Felt like we were in their house sharing their meal. The atmosphere is lovely as are the owners. The food was beautiful and very interesting especially for the two vegetarians. There was something for everyone in our large party of 14 and all the plates were cleared. Just fab

While the menu is varied it is also quintessentially Scottish with ample game. All the details of our meal were carefully and tastily addressed by the chef and presented by conscientious waitpersons. We had cullen skink, duck and partridge. All local and all superb.
Ailean Chraggan will demonstrate the refinement of much Scottish cuisine viv-a-vis other British fare

Good food from a choice menu which captures all the flavours of the Indian subcontinent, that's the signature of the 'Chillies' in the heart of the Scottish Highlands in Aberfeldy. Our restaurant _ tastefully decorated in a contemporary style _ presents award-winning cuisine in comfortable surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere. Our varied menu is sure to satisfy all tastes and our comprehensive wine & drinks list complements the dishes perfectly. Our masterchef and his highly-skilled team prepares mouthwatering delicacies to appreciate, from Bangladesh and India and 'beyond', using only the best produce and the finest ingredients.
Great service and amazing food.. Would definately recommend for a meal while in Aberfeldy. We did not have to book a table but the place is small so maybe this would be different in high season

The hotel is extremely comfortable. It is a real plus to find a separate sitting room (and the fire is a (necessary!) bonus) in hotels these days. We much appreciated that.
All the staff were very friendly and made us feel most welcome.
All of our meals were delicious - well presented, well cooked and a pleasure to eat.
If I could make three small suggestions which I think would improve things:
> a small sheet of the history of the hotel and the village in the bedrooms would be welcome;
> it was disappointing, but understandable when explained, as to why the venison was not available but I think updating the Specials to make reference to the venison stem/casserole (or whatever alternatives have to be made when a standard dish is unavailable) would make the guests feel that a highly appropriate alternative is to hand. It was by the way delicious; and
> more details on the menu as to the provenance of the food. With some much excellent produce to hand and fresh air and unspoilt countryside I think the hotel could make more of where they source all their meats, cheese, dairy products, fish and vegetables. In these days of carbon footprint and food miles etc knowing whether what we eat was local or from a distance and what ties you have/support is given to local providers would be welcome.
Please take these comments in the spirit that they are intended as helpful comments not criticisms.

Recently visited whilst staying in Kenmore for the weekend. We were in during the day - staff friendly, nice atmosphere, fire on making it lovely and warm on a cold and wet day. Snacks and coffee were lovely and served promptly, restaurant for the evening also looked nice but we had made a reservation elsewhere already.

The Black Watch Inn and Croft Restaurant is Aberfeldys oldest bar which serves food daily in either the bar, restaurant or outside Seating area.
After a bracing Boxing Day walk we called in for a drink. Bar service was polite, but it’s against the hygiene regulations for a barmaid to eat her baguette standing behind the bar. The atmosphere was spoiled by loud use of the F-word by the darts players, with women present. Big men indeed.

We are a family run craft and coffee shop based in-between Aberfeldy and Kenmore. We have a large selection of Yarns, Quilting Fabrics, Brother Sewing Machines and accessories. Our Coffee Shop sells a lovely variety of Homemade Cakes and light lunches which are locally sourced. Last orders in our cafe are 3pm Monday to Saturday and our Winter Hours are as advertised.

A wee gem of a place, cafe within the bookshop. Excellent coffees and wide range of specialist teas. Very tasty soups and sandwiches. Well worth a visit if only to browse the books and music.
This old watermill is a beautiful bookshop, a relaxing cafe with log burner, an art gallery and a shop full of interesting products to purchase.
A definite place to browse books and enjoy a tea or coffee with snacks or a meal this is a lovely place to visit.

Concentrating on fresh ingredients on a daily basis. Wood Fired Stoned baked pizzas in a authentic clay oven, built brick by brick. Our burgers and handmade and 100% Scottish. The grill section is more like BBQ technics.
Return visit after two years. Not lost any of it's quality. Great food, great value. Take note, you can't go wrong here. Going back for pizza in a few days.
