Have only rated this as average because I prefer eating at more atmospheric places. Breakfast buffet is extensive for the size of the hotel. Other meals are a bit expensive compared to what you can get at the local restaurants. If you like eating in I hotel restaurants this one is fine.

This restaurant was very big. My company uesd to arrange lunch or dinner here. The interior was nice, service was good, food were delicious enough with some Indonesian and international food. If you aren't looking for traditional or local food, this restaurant is the best.

Alamo restaurant is old seafood restaurant in Kendari. They have special menu for fish barberque with peanut and chili sauce. I tried fish palumara and sinonggi. Sinonggi was made from sago flour and in papua island we called it papeda. It was traditional sago porridge and eat with traditional fish soup called palumara. The fish is fresh because it was caught in the morning from the sea. All food in this restaurant is nice and made us to ate more. If you in Kendari and want to eat traditional sea food, you should try it at alamo restaurant.

We went to this place based on the previous review in Tripadvisor that gave good reviews, but we were disappointed. Seafood was fresh, but the taste was rather bland. I was expecting the seafood to be cooked with abundant spices like typical food from Sulawesi, but it wasn't.
There was an entertainment (solo keyboard and a singer), but it was too loud so we couldn't talk to each other without shouting.
Overall, it was an ok dinner, but I don't think I'll come back to this place.

We invaded the place with over 20 people, but they managed to serve us a more than decent meal in a very reasonable time frame. And for a good price.

Besides traditional cuisines (Palumara, Sinonggi, sayur bening, ikan bakar dan goreng), you can find Chinese foods as well in this restaurant. It's only about 10 minutes from Hotel Grand Clarion. The taste is not bad. The price is various.
