I live in Kamala - have done for 8 years - unless you want to spend 1000++ per head this is one of the best restaurants in Kamala. For the guy from banbury that thinks this is 'ok by Australian standards' sorry that is a joke - $15 for a really really good steak inc veges and potatoe - it would cost north of $25 in any city in Aus - ok maybe not hicksville country banbury. but a proper city - it would. This place is way better priced than Mama Mia (which is on the beach and has an great location) and Grill Bill = has a lovely friendly French owner and very attentive staff. would highly recommend to any one coming to Kamala to eat here.
A European Cafe, managed by Dutch owners, serving European breakfast, sandwiches, European, Chinese and Thai inspired cuisine. Open at 0700am for breakfast! Live sports available on the big screen and daily happy hour from 3PM - 7PM serving 99 Baht cockta
This place used to be TASTE RESTAURANT before and I am glad they changed to the new owners and restaurant. A nice place showing sports with a lovely grand father and grandson owners team and lovely service staff.Their all new homemade wagyu beef burger is phenomenal and I will definitely be back for it
This restaurant is a part of the Sunwing resort but is open for all the punters. The setting is very nice: a white (albeit a bit plasticky) open air place on a sea front. The service is quick and efficient though lacks the usual Asian hospitality. As far as the menu is concerned, the situation is mixed. As I have already said, there are two big positive things about this place. The first is the Thai duck curry. The second one is the quality and the price of the sparkling wine they serve. The wine is surprisingly good and the price is more than reasonable. The duck curry is a delight: the duck is wonderfully moist, full of flavour, the sauce is thick and flavoursome, it is beautifully served in big Delft pots with lids, and it is one of the best I've ever tried. The rest of the menu disappoints a lot though. Non-descript burgers, similar fast-food fares, lack of seafood and Thai dishes. The cocktail list is very extensive but the quality of the execution is very mediocre. Never before I remember tastibng a most completely alcohol-free caipirinha. Frozen mango daiquiri was more like a fruit lolly.Don't go there for the drinks. But if you do like your duck curry, it is a place to go.
