The menu is limited, the atmosphere Spartan, but the resulting pizzas are unexpectedly good. If I'm ever in Lubumbashi again, I'll go back.

I used to stay at Karavia hotel many years ago and did not enjoy the food or the stay. Since Accord taken over the experience has improved drastically. I absolutely love the stay and the food. The main Chef Frederick and GM Laurant is always first to greet and make one feel welcome. Frederick is an amazing Chef and quick to assist improving the experience. The food and hotel prices has reduced to ensure proper value-for-money.

We had a lovely dinner with Congolese friends at this rather upscale restaurant on the Karavia Lake in Lubumbashi this week; it is near the Karavia Hotel and the golf course. After all the dust and chaos of the city, this was a peaceful and cosmopolitan respite, and we chose seating on a pleasant outdoor terrace with a view across the lake. The menu had something for everyone, and there was a modest selection of wines. The service was excellent, and we were allowed to sit and eat and talk and laugh for several hours. The ambiance was unpretentious, understated, and we were fairly casually dressed. It appeared that there was an abbreviated menu for lunch. The average meal including a shared dessert was about $30 (a 3-course option for dinner was $50), not including drinks. This would also be a good place for a business meeting.
