If you want a real experience of Šumava I recommend a walk on foot along the red route from Sušice on Svatobor. You can expect a miraculous spring, snake trail and you may find a treasure. If you like beautiful views, nature, giant tea, great food and friendly people visit this hill. I had an excellent dinner and breakfast with a view from the sky. Thank you.

Around 100km you hardly find better restaurant. Own cow farm, own vegetable garden... Excellent food quality is guaranteed... The only disadvantage is that you always need to have reservation min. 14 days in advance, beucase the restaurant is contantly full. Otherwise great gastronomic experience... I can fully recommend...

The place where is the cafe and its facilities negatively surprise. But cakes and coffee are really good. Everything is too expensive. The owner is very confident, she was very succesful woman, but now she has her coffee shop in the village and should be enjoyable and modest. It is only rock and roll. Her husband is a funny person.
Simply professional cakes and amateurish coffee shop

This is probably the best restaurant in the village. Staff can speak English and the menu is pretty modern. Food is well presented and cheap by Western standards, drinks too. Half litre of Pilsner Urquell about €2

Having first seen this place as a tumbledown ruin, which was eventually leveled, we were amazed to see a beautiful timber-built traditional building appear.
We then were taken there by friends to eat!!!
Good hearty traditional Czech menu, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Just what the doctor ordered after a long walk in the hills.
THAT was two years ago, we have since returned frequently on our bi-annual-ish visits to Sumava.
Long may this continue.

We were looking forward to visit this place as we checked the TripAdvisor’s reviews and restaurant’s web site. We found our table, ordered our meal and we waited. And waited. It took one hour for our food to be ready. We were really pissed off. On the other hand, our dishes were delicious, the waiter did say sorry, he gave us two bottles of beer as apologize and gave us a discount. I have to say I didn’t expect something like that, especially in the Czech Republic. How can you be mad at someone who does something like that? I was really surprised. It was a very nice gesture. I would recommend this place to everyone who don’t want to eat typical Czech dishes, as the Czech cuisine is mainly heavy and unhealthy. And the restaurant's interior is really nice, by the way.

Nebespán café is a nice a stylish french restaurant and café with high quality of gastronomy. We have french chef and our own pastry chef. You can also have nice breakfast and we serve delicious café and cakes. In the summer you can eat on the Terrace with nice view to the historical square and Mountains.
If you happen to be to this forgotten country, it is must to visit this caffe. This caffe is superior to most of similar places even compare to Prague or Vienna. Try baked tea, espresso or any of home-made sweets or marmelade. Very nice and friendly service.

Newly built brewery with restaurant is very nice both internally and externally. But goulash soup was lousy, the main dish very average. The beer is good, nonalcoholic homemade lemonades were nasty. The staff is inexperienced and unprofessional. All, food and drinks are really expensive
Beer is not everything, Mr Lyer

My family and I visited several restaurants in Kasperske Hory and this one was the best by far.
We went there twice during our stay as we loved the food and the service was way better than in the other restaurants in the village.
They have swings and slides outside for children which kept mine entertained for the duration.
The only downfall is that they haven't got menus in English (German and Czech only) so if you don't speak either of those languages then you will have to chance it :-) ...
I'd recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Škoda, jinak by podnik neměl chybu.
