Reviews on Bar food in Mysuru (Mysore), Karnataka, India. The kings of the Wodeyar dynasty set the bar high for the southern cultural capital of Mysore. Ornate palaces and the Gothic St. Philomena's Church with its 175-foot spires pack a visual punch; local institutions keep Carnatic classical music and dance in the public eye. A prominent 11th-century temple sits atop 1,000 steps on the city's outskirts. Dress to the nines and party like a rock star in celebration of Mysore heritage during the lively Dussehra festival, held for 10 days in October/November.

Visited this place 8 times because it had an extensive menu, cold beers & was nearest to our hotel. Food was of good quality & reasonable priced. Service ranged from ok to indifferent to awful. Only the supervisors spoke English which is odd for a place that attracts a lot of tourists. Plenty of Indian tourists in attendance too. This is a place that if it upped it's service would be excellent.

A recommendation from our driver and an excellent choice. This is a really lively restaurant with a great selection of Indian dishes plus some pasta and Chinese. The staff are very helpful and the service prompt. We had a range of curries and birianis - all excellent. Great value - recommend it.

The Silk Bar at the Grand Mercure hotel is relatively a very small bar n lounge but very well designed and cosy. Its right next to the La Uppu restaurant on ground floor near reception. The service was warm and quick. Loved the mocktails while watching IPL matches here !!!

Take the lift up to the 5th floor at Roopla Hotel and you get a good view day or night, good service and good food with a beer if desired. My tandoori platter (Rs420) was delicious , and the portion size so big I had to take part away with me for later. My wife's continental platter was perfect with no chili as specifically requested. Our naan bread as starter arrived within 5 minutes, the mains about 15 minutes later. Good place.
