The hostel enjoys the perfect location: just next to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Mall in Sanduo Shopping area. It just takes 2-minute walking from the MRT station (R8, Sanduo Shopping Area Stop) to the hostel. Opposite to the hostel, Xing Zhong Night Market is your convenient choice to taste Taiwan food. Guests can also go to the largest Night Market in Taiwan- Kaixuan Night Market which is not far from the hostel as well. D’well is specialized for backpackers: a fashionable, safe, clean, comfortable and convenient accommodation. It provides you the chance to meet and share the experiences with international travelers. There is a spacious common area in the hostel where guests can read books, chat and share travel experiences with friends and travelers all over the world. All rooms are designed with anti-fire facilities. The bunk bed structure takes one year to design to provide guests with a wide bed for a comfortable sleep. The shared shower rooms are divided for male and female separately. All shower rooms have been nice decorated and equipped with good quality facilities which are used in the hotels. D’well will accompany with you to listen to your dreams. Leave the familiar hometown and explore new destinations, new experience, new life and new friendship. D’well Hostel is aiming to become the best accommodation in Kaohsiung for those backpackers who are looking after their dreams.
Stayed here for a few nights and overall had a good stay. Things are very non traditional right now due to the COVID-19 virus but the full time staff was polite and helpful. They took a lot of steps to help guests stay with peace of mind. Dorms are basic but do have working AC which is great because the hostel is hot AF so the rooms are a nice break in some cool air. The laundry available is good too, with line drying or a dryer. The rooftop is nice but cluttered with a variety of stuff, but the koi pond is a nice touch. Bathrooms are basic but the water pressure is nice a good number of showers and toilets. The dorm beds are truly some of the worst I’ve slept on. Anywhere in the world. They are as hard as a rock and like you’re sleeping on the ground. Staff tried to help soften it but did not much, but appreciated the effort. I could only stay 3-4 nights because of my back. It’s not a comfortable sleep. And no privacy curtains and lockers don’t lock too. Breakfast is toast with spreads and coffee, it’s fine and a PX Mart is close by to pick up supplies. Hostel was cleaned regularly but the quality of the clean varied. Some of it was fine but a lot of it was very poorly, sloppily done, especially in the bathroom. From observing the working for accommodation staff from outside of Taiwan, I’m guessing that’s where it came from. For the cost and location, the hostel is a real value. I would try staying there again when COVID passes because it was a very non traditional time when I was there. But the beds are a big issue for me.

It was a great stay with spacious and clean rooms. The location was not fantastic but the host provides transportation to the nearby attraction spots. Breakfast was provided too. Great choice for a budget stay.

The hostel also offers bike hire. Rueifong Night Market is 1.9 km from Paper Plane Hostel, while Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts is 1.9 km away. We booked online and free breakfast came with it, otherwise you need to pay. Very good location next to Houyi metro station, exit 4. From this exit, just turn around and turn right at the bank of Kaohsiung building, walk 10-20m and you see the side entrance. We stayed in a double dorm bed and had a good view since the hostel is on the 10th floor. Comfortable bed. Shared bathrooms, toilets and hostel was clean and shampoo/shower gel provided. Need to use own towel. Free breakfast, though available only from 7.30am , was simple but good. Easy check in and check out. Friendly staff, can speak English. Need to wear their slippers indoors and there are storage areas for your shoes. Fully air-cond. Personal lockers in dorms for your things.

It’s one of local hotel’s chain, though it’s a small budget hotel, yet clean, and very convenient to access to the heart of city. Most of all, highly flexible charge, it’s economical & affordable. I don’t think that they have good sound-proof, this is only negative review so far from my stay.

We have a 24-lounge with a super comfortable sofa area, find a variety of popular games, go create your own hipster handmade stamp in a special area, make a travel companion group, check out our excellent maps, giant projection TV, fast internet, and of course high speed WiFi. There’s also self-catering facilities …… and more for you to enjoy.
Stayed for 2 nights, got the comfy double room by the road. Very convenient location - right off Exit 9 of Formosa Station and literally steps away from Liuhe Night Market. Showers always with warm and strong water. Nice and approachable staff, too. And I will stay there again should I have that opportunity to visit KHH in the future:)

Ahiruyah is a really nice hostel in a really good location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel is quite small, but has some really nice and useful amenities. Despite the size, the bathrooms are quite large. Note that the bathrooms aren't private. Instead there's two communal bathrooms, one for women and the other for men. There's also a TV area, balcony and washing machine. Towels are included. I stayed in the shared male dorm. Each bunk had a lamp, power socket and a privacy curtain. There were lockers (though quite small) and air conditioning in the room. Despite the mattress being rock hard, I had one of the best sleeps I've ever had in a hostel across the two nights I was there. Another great feature of the hostel is it's location. It's a few minutes walk from Formosa Boulevard station. It's also one block away from Liuhe Night Market. I'd recommend Ahiruyah if you're in need of a hostel in Kaohsiung.

With Inn Hostel is a classic traditional Taiwan house. Built in 196's, it's full of history. Keeping the old house characteristic and add new design, mixing modern with classic. With Inn Hostel has one suite for double room and 4~6 bed female/male/mix room. With Inn Hostel has dining area, modern open kitchen, sofa reading area, garden and balcony. Our location is close to MRT Central Park Station (R9), it only takes 3 minute by walk. With Inn Hostel is in the heart of city, many restaurants, department store, shopping area around. You can enjoy the humanities and relax life in the With Inn Hostel.
I recently came back from a month of traveling around Taiwan, and the With Inn hostel in the city of Kaohsiung stood out — among the other places I stayed — for having an owner/desk person that was over-the-top helpful. She regularly went out of her way to make sure I knew where I was going (drawing maps, making calls, etc). [I wasn’t traveling with a smart phone, and so I really needed her help.] And of course the hostal is very clean, reasonably new (in terms of construction), and very conveniently located (very close to the “Central Park” metro station (Exit 2)). I can not recommend it highly enough. It has five dorm rooms and one double room. [I paid NT$ 500 a night for a bed in the dorm; I don’t know how much the double room costs.] It is owned by a young husband and wife couple, and the wife seemed to be on-site (with her very young daughter) nearly all of the time. And, as I said, she was REALLY helpful to me.* _____________________ * Okay, most hostel desk people are reasonably helpful. And Taiwan is full of very friendly people anyway (a large proportion of which can speak English). But I stayed in some hostels on this latest trip in which the front desk person was often not there (there’s just a note and a phone number); and there were some in which the front desk person is a lot more interested in playing with his iPhone than he is in helping find a good place to eat, or the connections to the next city and a hostel there, etc. At this With Inn hostel, the wife (of the couple that own the place) was there every time I needed her, and — as I said — she went way out-of-her-way to help me every time I asked. She was remarkable about this (which is why I’m remarking about it).

There are two room sizes in this apartment building. Four floors in total. There is one room on the ground floor and two rooms each on each landing. One two bedder and the other is a four bedder. The rooms are of good size, enough space for everything. We had a comfortable stay. I took one star away because there is no lift... so if you are staying on the 4th floor, be prepared to lug your luggage up.

Well-positioned in Sinsing District, Trip GG Hostel is an ideal point of departure for the trip in Kaohsiung. It is very close to Formosa Boulevard MRTStation, just 10-second walking distance away. From here, guests can enjoy easy access to the city's places of interests. Liuohe Tourist Night Market, the famous tourist attraction, is only 3-minute walking distance away.
Located in Formosa boulevard mrt and in front of exit one which it at 6th floor. Value for money, safe and clean environment. Staffs are nice and helpful. It was satisfied for me as a solo traveller. Walk around 10mins to Liuhe night market.
