Had lunch here recently, and had the Hangover Burger. I've never had a bad burger here, but had not tried the hangover one, (I didn't have a hangover), but this is a perfect burger. Wow! This is the kind of burger you dream of eating . . . it was cooked to perfection, juicy, hot, with an egg and other yummy condiments. Service good, atmosphere is good. One comment about the appetizer 'balls.' They serve different flavors of 'balls'.' The ball part is hashbrowns with mashed potatoes and other ingredients to have different flavors, served with a sauce. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, GET THE ATOMIC BALLS! I eat really hot and spicy food but clearly this is not for anyone but those who like self-inflicted pain. The heat came through my teeth, my throat, my eustachian tubes out of my ears!! I couldn't taste anything for a number of minutes. I advised them to sell a 'first-aid' kit as an option for those who order Atomic Balls. Aside from the warning about their Atomic Balls, enjoy the rest of the menu.

I come here once a week for a burger and fries and the brewed ice tea. You can make all of this at home and probably just as good, but for 10 bucks and a tip my wife doesn't have to clean up the mess! The Shack has a comfortable small town vibe. They serve far more food than beer, and no hard liquor so it remains family friendly.

Though I live in Topeka, I have only been to the Celtic Fox on a handful of occasions. Twice we were there for family get togethers. The Celtic Fox has a great meeting/party room with no charge to reserve it. Recently they catered our Retirement/Birthday bash, with trays of Meats, Cheese, Veggies and Fruit; as well as Chips, Salsa and various Dips. Everything was presented perfectly and very tasty. The staff were organized, helpful and friendly. The Celtic Fox decor and menu are reminiscent of an Irish Pub. Fun atmosphere, friendly staff. Thank-you!

Iron Rail Brewing, opened November 19th, 2018 in Downtown Topeka, offers fantastic craft beer to be enjoyed with a delicious menu, all served by the best staff in town, in a historic setting. Cheers!
We visited on a Sunday shortly after their opening time. When our server found that we had never been here before, he sent over the manager, Dalton, to talk to us and answer our questions about the recently opened taproom and the historic building. I ordered the beer sampler (Four 5 ounce glasses for $7) since I had never had any of their beers before. My favorite was the witbier, and my least favorite was the saison. We ordered chicken chicharrones (fried chicken skin - actually better than it sounds) and a sausage plate. My friend loved the 3 kinds of sausages, and both the IPAs that he drank. They sell 32 oz Crowlers to go.

Took the family here to celebrate two birthday's and Mothers Day. Used the call ahead seating. Only had to wait about 15 minutes when we arrived. Food was very good with generous portions. Our server, Dan was awesome! Never let our glasses go empty. We will eat here again when in the area.

I wasn't really impressed. Our waitress was amazing, great personality! My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap which I had a bite and it was great! I had the club and in my opinion lacked any form of taste and was disappointing. My biggest issue was one of the waitresses continuously played with her pony tail. Combing thru it with her fingers, then twisting etc etc. This literally continued from the moment we walked thru the door until we left. We brought it to our waitresses attention and was assured it would be passed on to the manager. I hope so because it was disturbing that she would touch plates and glasses after doing so! Most likely this was not only our first time but our last time at this establishment!Hello, thank you for sharing, we are sorry we let you down. Touching your hair in a food service establishment is wrong, and we are truly sorry. We review all feedback in an effort to refocus and improve. Please try us again, our Sunday Brunch Buffet is really tasty, and a great price for the entire family!

This is our go to place whenever we are in Topeka. We met with friends for dinner during our most recent visit. You simply can't go wrong with their Burnt Ends ( If you don't know what those are...believe me...try them and you will fall in love!!). My husband votes for their chicken wings. Both of us love their Chicken Fried Steak but if you don't have a BIG appetite....get an extra plate, an extra order of mashed potatoes and gravy and share it !!!! They also have some great award winning craft beers, if you are a beer lover.

We stopped here while driving through town. We all loved our burgers. I was disappointed in the truffle fries and would try something different next time, but my Kobe burger was amazing. I especially liked the chipotle ketchup. Great local place with friendly staff.

I totally recommend this place, even if you don't drink. The tomato bisque soup, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the chips were absolutely delicious! The wait was about 10 minutes, but they have limited seating, so it was expected and the food was so worth the wait.
