Got there about 5:00 on a Wednesday, were seated right away and got our drinks soon after. We had Italian Nachos and the Chicago Seven Calzone. They were well prepared and tasty. Had to pay an extra dollar for more marinara for the nachos but no big deal. Once we got our meal and the restaurant started filling up our service slowed significantly. Drink refills, getting our check and paying with a card took a while.Server was very friendly and was trying his best.I happened to be seated so I was looking at the touch screen computer for order input, bills and payment. There were at least five servers trying to use one screen. There was always one and sometimes two servers waiting to use the computer. Not the serverâs fault but seems to be a pretty simple and relatively inexpensive fix.We are local and will go back but the tech side of OC needs some upgrade.
Stopped by after reading the other review for a quick lunch. Like the other reviewer, I was a bit surprised that this was more than a bar which in itself is an evolution. I can trace its origins to being a Duds n Suds, later Sip n Spin laundromat which sold soap and suds. As it is in Hays, this somehow makes sense. The con was the waitress advised they were out of ice, so soda was a bit warmer than normal. The upside is they offered tasty, hot food and very reasonable prices. Menu was fairly extensive to the extent they offered a wide number of sides. Will return again.

Went to Gutch's last week with my wife and grandson for dinner. The wood fired thin crust pizza is excellent. We also tried their wings... they are awesome... dry rub- no sauce.Service was good. The décor was classy. Table and chairs were comfortable. We'll be back!

Family friendly environment with game room, and American style comfort food. Pair one of our 20 beers on tap with some one of our great steaks, burgers, pastas, chicken or salad options.
I had reviewed this establishment before and cited inconsistent service, wait times, and food, but I very recently had the opportunity to return when invited out. Man, what a surprise! I have been twice within the last week and both times were a nice, pleasant experience. The burgers I had both times rank among the best I have had, service was friendly, accurate, and timely. I think you'll be pleased if you choose this place for a meal.

Went to the Q for an after Tax Season party with my coworkers. Went for lunch. Had several pitchers of cold beer, apperizers and sandwiches. Everything was very good, as was the service. The Q has many flat screen TV's for watching the big game as well as several pool tables. Best sports bar in Hays. We'll be back

We have eaten here before and been pleased, but not so much this time.We went for a late night snack and dessert. I couldn't resist trying the smothered shrimp fajitas but was disappointed. The shrimp and sauce were fine, but the rice was under cooked and the vegetables tasted scorched. The chocolate brownie dessert was good but not outstanding. The night was somewhat saved by good service. The young lady who attended our table did an outstanding job. Too bad the kitchen didn't hold up their end.

Management issues here. The wait staff was pleasant although had limited training it appeared. The manager on duty was poor at handling an issue. Food was ok, the soup very salty, steak ok.

Traveling through Hays and decided to stay for the night. My husband and I both wanted seafood for dinner (a change of pace) and found this restaurant online. Not disappointed! We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and accommodating. We wanted different sides, no problem. We both ordered the salmon, an 8 ounce fillet with a maple glaze. Moist, tender and flavorful. The green beans were definitely fresh, sautéed perfectly with a tasty light sauce and bacon. Meal begins with a dinner salad, fresh and crisp greens, tomato slice, hard boiled egg slices, cucumbers and croutons. I sipped on a glass of Pinot Grigio while my husband opted for an old fashioned. Happy and completely satisfied.

We stopped for the night in Hays and weren't sure what we wanted for dinner. We decided to try Gella's even though big pretzels and brew weren't exactly what we were craving. But we were pleasantly surprised. I don't remember what my husband ordered for dinner but I had the grilled salmon on a bed of white beans, tomatoes, and white wine. I had never had salmon served this way but it was really delicious and I plan to try making something similar at home. Dessert for me was the French toast brulee. What came to the table didn't match the menu description but it was decadently delicious! My husband wished he had my dessert even though his apple one was also good. Our server was very friendly to visit with briefly as she made our evening so nice. Thank you and I wish I remembered her name so I could be more specific. I hope we will have the opportunity to visit Gella's again and that the brulee dessert is still on the menu!
