Legendary Food, Legendary Service
Food was cooked perfect. If you are looking for a place that is quiet this is not it. It is loud, but food was good. Service was also good. Thank you for your review!

The Hill Bar and Grill in the historic college hill area offers up gastropub style food with over 200 craft beer bottle selections and 25 beers on tap. We offer a wide variety of food from our 1/2 pound brisket chuck blend burgers to our ethnic style stre
I came across this gem while looking for houses in the College Hill area of Wichita. From one direction, you can't even tell there is a restaurant in the building, so it almost didn't catch my eye. Once I saw it, I felt a good vibe and decided I would come back for a late lunch and check it out. Boy, am I glad I did.The hostess was not overly welcoming, but she may have been new or shy. I ate at a booth in the bar area and was served by the bartender who was fantastic with both her menu recommendations and providing just the right amount of attention for me, not too much and not too little. I tried the pretzel bits for an appetizer, a burger for the main course, and the brownie sundae and all were absolutely fantastic. The dessert and the fries that came with the burger were each enough to feed a table of 3 or 4, so perhaps consider that when you order sides and dessert.I'm looking forward to returning in two weeks when my wife and daughter come in for the house hunting!

**East location now closed permanently. Downtown Doo-Dah Diner reopens 7/4/19!! Locally owned & operated by Chef Patrick & Timirie Shibley. Offering over the top gourmet style twists to diner classics, and then some. All fresh ingredients, and made from s
They've renovated and lost a little of their Doo Dah funk in the process. Nevertheless, they've maintained their great staff and service as well as their to die for breakfast menu. They're opening a Wichita store next door - shades of Austin. Thanks for returning, and still loving our food and service. Really wish we knew what "funk" you were missing? Did you notice we doubled our seating capacity? The new comfortable booths. Enlarged bathrooms? Vestibule at the entrance to keep frigid/hot air out of dining room? We hope to earn that 5th star on your next visit. Thanks for taking the time to give us a good review!

Just a little old school hole in the wall burger joint. The difference? Burgers are 3/4 lb single 1.5 lb double and 2.25 lb triple. It's small enough that you will generally banter with the owner/fry-cook while you're there, and it tends to be anything but politically correct. For a big burger, fries, and a quart beer figure to spend $15 to $20. It's a bit of a time travel trip to a different place and time.
We recently had lunch at this Subway while in Wichita. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. The service was friendly and competent. The food was very good. As I said, this is a quality Subway.
Was staying at hotel nearby. Location is not something that would grab your attention, but a real surprise inside. Nicely furnished and very clean. A few not so common items from the very ample selection. Everything I had was very good. Impressive, from the expectations I originally had pulling in the parking lot.

We are snow birds on the way to Arizona and staying on the south side of Wichita. Our hotel gave us some recommendations and one of them was for the Applebee's on 47th and Broadway. We we're seated quickly and we had our choice from a short but good list of wines. My wife and I split a salad and she ordered a Penne dish while I ordered a sirloin. I requested to have the steak served rare - and when it was served the wait person waited for me to cut it and see if it was done to my liking. It was ! Getting a perfect rare steak is, well, rare ! My sides were green beans and broccoli. The meal, the setting, and the staff were all great. We'll be back.
Its difficult to rate Jacks. The building and interior is interesting. This "IS" a place you would drive by. It's also a place if you were not meeting some one - you would say to your self, "Self this place is not for me". Jacks is a honest Dive. Jacks was voted Wichita's best dive. Now for the good. The lady who cooks and runs the joint is a jewel. She is friendly, an excellent server, and makes you want to come back. Their menu consists of a large hamburger, a small hamburger, served with a large community bowl of potato chips. You can order your burger with onions (fried in pickle juice) The onions are yummy. That is the menu. The large burger is a one pound, the small is 1/2 pound. The large burger is $6.50. The burger may not be the best you have eaten - but they will be a close second. Excellent food, no atmosphere, served by a nice lady.

Not the fanciest place but clean with good food. They have a lot of take out. We eat in but people are always coming in picking up meals. If you like fish it is a good place.
