Designed for both business and leisure travel, Good Times Resort Kanchanaburi is ideally situated on the banks of the River Kwai and 1.5Km from the excitement of the city. This newly built 3-star hotel commands an excellent location and provides tours to all the main attractions. All rooms are en-suite, with AC, WiFi and refrigerator.A large swimming pool and restaurant are a feature of the hotel.
We been in north Thailand over two weeks and order this hotel because we sew recommend on Tripadvisor. Positive: view from the hotel was great- next to the river, and the restaurant is ok and it seems the room was clean. however the negative: the breakfast wasn’t good at all- there’s not selection and it seems that the food is not clean enough. The hotel is not close to the centre (20 minutes walk) and there’s not any taxis around so you have to order taxi from the hotel and this is much more expensive than any taxi that we ever order in Thailand.

The FloatHouse River Kwai is a magnificent floating resort upon a finest part of the world's historical river,River Kwai. All floating villas are made of teak wood & bamboo featured with wooden furniture and broad range of services and facilities. Our distinctive design is to harmonize with gorgeous nature surroundings making the resort "design by nature".
Arrive at the dock and board a long tail boat for the 10 minute trip up-river to the Float House. You may spot a bright blue kingfisher on the bank or a swimming monitor lizard. Arrive at this series of rafts alongside the fast-moving river and be taken to your room. It's simple and most notably has a large outdoor deck on the river. Take a jump in the river and let the swift current carry you downstream (lifejacket required). Come dinner time there is a buffet and a la carte menu. The buffet is thai, the a la carte menu has thai food and some surprisingly good pizza (their peperoni is delicious). This offers good access to hellfire gorge (worth a visit), nearby biking and kayaking, and a nearby national park with waterfalls (reasonably pretty but somewhat crowded). This is an idea hotel for 1-2 nights for travelers seeking a unique experience. This simple yet comfortable hotel trades some luxury for its unique natural environment.

Indulge in pampering yourself at The Rantee Spa located within the sprawling gardens and beside the river. Providing free Wi-Fi and daily breakfast at the Royal Restaurant, it features an all year- round sizeable outdoor pool surrounded by tall majestic palms and a pool bar. Experience and savor a wide selection of Thai and Western Cuisines at the respective indoor Royal and outdoor Chomwana Restaurants, offering best of authentic cooking delicacies. The resort is located a stone throw away from all the popular attractions and minutes away from the latest “Muang Malika – Ancient Siam City” “A Home Away From Home – Your Pleasure Our Way Of Life”
A Lovely old-style family resort on the river banks the Royal River Kwai Resort is a nice place to stay in Kanchanaburi. Quiet, peaceful with few visitors, the hotel is one of the older style hotels dotted throughout Thailand - large well-kept grounds, big rooms full of closet spaces (nothing trendy here), far from the downtown entertainment scene. The highlight of our stay was the spa - excellent older Thai masseuses giving a great Thai massage in the beautiful glass room right next to the river. What could be better? We'll return just for the massage!

Boutique Raft Resort is better than the pictures. It really is a beautifully presented property right in sync with nature. I stayed in a River Kwai Suite which was spacious and nicely decorated with huge windows facing the water. I agree the bathrooms could do with a freshen up, as other reviews have suggested. The fridge was well stocked and priced, however there was no tea or coffee making facilities which was disappointing and I was charged 100 baht for a L coffee. That said the staff were exceptional, each and every one of them, even with their very limited English. The General manager who owns and runs the resort was super helpful, spoke excellent English and was very hands on. The food was well priced, presented and tasty, although a little basic. I was led to believe it would be easier to book my tours from the hotel on arrival. Unfortunately this really was an expensive option as a solo traveller, as everything was a ‘private’ tour with the resort van. The bike tour was also unavailable. The other thing to be aware of is there are dogs outside the property and they were not friendly. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day :/ I decided to go for a walk and they surrounded me barking aggressively. I love dogs but this meant a quick exit. Unfortunately I felt confined to the property from then on, which wasn’t necessary a bad thing but I would have liked to go exploring. I highly recommend this property you won’t be disappointed and I would love to come back.

River Kwai Jungle Rafts. The original floating hotel or Floatel since 1976 in Kanchanaburi Thailand. It was recognized as UNSEEN PARADISE in Thailand and welcoming people around the world. The River Kwai Jungle Rafts is selected as one of the best for floating hotels in the world by The Telegraph UK in 2011.
Everything was great about this hotel. The staff were really friendly, the atmosphere was impressive and it was really relaxing when you are lying in bed and there is a gentle current. Also, the food was tasty. Definitely worth a try.

The River Kwai Bridge Hotel, could not be in a better location to see the Bridge. There is not a better location to take a photo of the bridge than the hotels outside restaurant, which is situated right at the waters edge. The staff are constantly cleaning inside and outside the hotel and the gardens. We would not think of staying anywhere else in fact we have decided to re visit Kanchanaburi and have book a room for next week we were that impressed. Our bungalow (409) was very close to the river and we recumbent it, however, all the bungalows looked very nice.

We had booked two superior rooms, we got connecting room which nice that hotel arranged it without us ask for. However both room condition are so bad. Furniture so old and most of items in room not work properly like AC, safety box and hot water. Bathroom was scary to me. It in bad condition and bathtub that you will never ever use if you look from the condition of it. Breakfast just ok. Because it busy weekend all foods arrangement look so messy. We also did had dinner by river which overall for foods ok too. Cocktail not the best. Staffs , garden and pool are good. I presume that do have new rooms but unlucky for us who got old rooms one. So from this stayed if we will back to Kanchanaburi again here this place will be last option.

The facilities are not in good shape, the restaurant is extremely expensive. They just charged us 120B for water. Did anyone see such price in Thailand? The mattresses are rock hard. Rooms on the highway are noisy. Don’t know why they decided to put us in one. Their hotel is empty!
