Things to do in Kampot
Surrounded by (supposedly) hip young backpackers all talking a mile a minute, it's not peaceful, but at least the coffee with sweet milk is good. The breakfast bap that I got to accompany it, however was not so. Sure, the butcher supplies the bacon with the rind on, but that's no reason not to trim it off before inserting it between bits of bread. The rubber band (elastic band for all you Yanks) effect is unsettling and leads to disgustingly having to try to pull it out between your teeth - not pleasant.
We happened upon coffee and cocktails whilst looking for a quiet drink later on in the evening and were drawn in by the quiet ambiance and available tables outside. Then we realised we'd stumbled upon something really rather wonderful when we spotted the drink selection. Its a little gem if you want to treat yourself to some delicious premium spirits, well made cocktails and a charming host. The espresso martini was easily one of the best I've ever tasted, never mind in Cambodia. Bob (the owner) is an absolute delight - so welcoming and knowledgeable. The definition of a perfect host.Glasses, bar and bathrooms are scrupulously clean and as it is located on a quieter street, no constant traffic noise or blaring music. If you're in Kampot, drop in for a (very fine) coffee or a cocktail or three.
Somewhere welcomes you in its bar restaurant located near the Riverside. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, come enjoy our specialty: salty pancakes (ham, cheese, mushroom, egg ...). A simple and fresh restoration proposing the traditional French dishes a

Where to start. I absolutely loved this place. Truly. The beds were nice and comfy. There's privacy curtains on all the beds. Everything is so clean. There's a bar and restaurant in front of the hostel, the food here is delicious, and the drinks are mixed very well! And above all else Sopheap! The owner of the hostel. Such a kind, cool and chill guy. Knew the name of every single person staying at the hostel, which I appreciate because it adds a personal touch. Always has suggestions of what to do and where to go. Had the most amazing conversations about the most random things during my stay here! Taught me a few words in Khmer too. His wife and brother also work here too. Both are also very kind, and his brother makes the most amazing amaretto sours. It's a 4 minute walk away from the durian roundabout, 2 minutes away from the river and all the street food, you can organise tours from Sopheap, or alternatively you can rent a bike from him for $5 a day and go explore yourself (highly recommend grabbing a bike and heading to Bokor!). If you're looking for somewhere in Kampot to stay, this is it.

Having eaten in the original Keyhole during my first trip to Kampot in 2011 I stumbled upon this place 7 years later. More of a bar atmosphere than the original venue the menu was still varied with a extensive drinks selection. The Sunday roast was substantial and popular, i also liked the pizza. Its also the best place to catch the premier league, UFC and the rugby. I'll be back when i return to Kampot in January. Friendly Scottish owner.

Very nice, friendly owners and waitress, very good service. I ate Brassoi and Cucumber salad, both of them were excellent. The Brassoi was better, than what I ate anywhere in Hungary in the last few years. I am Hungarian living in the US, but go home every year. This restaurant certainly worth a try. Thank you guys. See you tomorrow. Nagyon koszonom. Istvan Deli
