This was our 1st holiday abroad with our one year old, and we couldn't have wished to stay at a nicer hotel. Everything was just perfect. We stayed half board, and that worked so well for us having a little one to get meals conveniently. The breakfast & evening buffets were fantastic quality & so much variety, with a different theme every night. Our little boy loved it too! Plenty of highchairs. The main pool & kids splash park were great! Was nice having the shallow kids pool too, for our son to explore. Everything was spotless, and the poolside service was a welcome touch. We loved the pool bar & Eden cocktail bar where we enjoyed some yummy cocktails from the lovely Nico. The cleaners worked so hard everyday, doing such a fab job. As did the maintenance guy, he seemed to work all hours of the day. His conifers are great! As many others have mentioned, the close proximity to the airport (short transfer with a toddler is ideal!), beach and strip was perfect. And last but not least, the staff are what make this hotel. Every single person we encountered was amazing. They always took time to say hello, and talk to our son, such friendly people. Special mention to the 3 waiters we had the pleasure of being served every meal, Kostas, Andreas & Alex. They were so lovely to us. And Sevi who made us feel so welcome, always chatting to us and checking we were okay. We would highly recommend this hotel, and really do hope to come back. Overall, one of our best holidays! Thank you

Meandros boutique & Spa has been modernly designed with wall mural representations of Greek gods, combined with touches of Greek elements and minimalistic decor, creating a relaxing adult only experience. Each of the contemporary 46 spacious rooms features modern facilities consisting of 11 private pool rooms, 3 rooms with private Jacuzzi, 11 suites and 21 premium rooms with unique character. A boutique hotel that balances details from the past with playful public spaces proves that the new rules of chic are simplicity with a clean and modern sense of ease.
We stayed at the hotel from 30/5 - 6/6 in a suite grand with balcony. The rooms as well as the balcony were very spacious. Both the sleeping room and the extra room were equipped with aircon that offered a “quiet mode” for the night. Overall, the hotel was very clean - superclean may be more accurate - and as the hotel only allows quests 18+ it was very quiet. The staff was outstanding and the restaurant at the hotel was very good. The hotel accomodates rooms with their own swimmingpools in a seperate building next to the main building. Some of the rooms (109, 110 and 111) face East and have very little sun. Further, these rooms have very little privacy. Rooms 105, 106, 107 and 108 face South and have sun until around 2 pm. However, deping on the wind direction the pool area can be quite hot as the pools are surrounded by walls on all sides. Rooms 101, 102, 103 and 104 face West and adjoin a big lawn. In my view these rooms are the most well located, but the pool area will lack the sun until around 1 pm. That said, the pool area at the main building is quite fine and spacious. Also, the location of this pool allows a fresh breeze from almost all directions.

We stayed here in 2017 on our honeymoon & had an amazing time. I returned this time with my Mam after my father passed away. I was unaware we'd booked an Annexe apartment & after reading the reviews I contacted the hotel to upgrade/swap. In fairness the rooms were ok with a sea view but not a fan of the wet rooms, no privacy as glass saloon type doors. Discovered on the 4th day of our 7 day holiday that the fridge wasn't even plugged in.! Food was ok compared to ecxellent in 2017 which is because they're now catering for not just the British. In my opion that is why the rating have dropped. The melon bar, left at the roundabout and over the street on the right is as crazy n good as ever. We met some amazing friends on this holiday & everyone is still adjusting to the aftermath of covid. Given time this will become a 5 star hotel

Surrounded by its gorgeous gardens and within easy reach of the sands, Bitzaro Palace Hotel in Zakynthos combines elegance and comfort with respect to the traditional Ionian style. We arrived 31st May. Reception quick and efficient and our first impression was how quiet and peaceful it was. Our room was nice and overlooked the pool. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was serviced every day and the cleaning staff did a magnificent job. The room smelt lovely every time we came back. The food was lovely. We had no problem finding something we liked every day. Breakfast had everything you could possibly want. Cereal, porridge, full cooked breakfast, continental, fresh fruit, cakes and pastries. Lunch and snack bar all good. Evening meal again we couldn't fault. Sine people may want a bigger selection but we had no problem. Every thing of a good quality and very tasty. Drinks were fine for us. Short walk to beach and shops. This is the perfect place for a relaxing break. It is a quiet hotel, a place to chill out and unwind. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

A modern resort, the ideal place for those seeking after a relaxing holiday.Comfortable accomodation and friendly service should prove a winning from break. It's ideal for couples and families. The location of Golden Sun Hotel is one of its main assets: built just 150 meters from the sandy beach of Kalamaki, surrounded by evergreen trees and situated only 6 km from the island's town, it shall provide for a unique vacation experience.
Literally on our way home after a week’s stay for a group of 10 of us. Bit of a mixed one as some of us had lovely rooms whilst the others were completely catfished with theirs. Pros: • The pool was amazing • Majority of the staff (minus one extremely rude and unhelpful receptionist) were lovely and polite’ • The room we stayed in was lovely • Location from the airport was 10mins • Good walking distance to the beach, Kalamaki strip but taxi service easy to get/use if you want to go round the island. Cons: • Not helpful when checking out and needing towels and somewhere to get changed before your flight if you use the pool. • Not all the rooms are nice. We went with friends and half had really lovely rooms and the others were outdated, small and dirty. • We went two days without getting our room cleaned and fresh towels. • The food and drink were very average and only served at short periods of the day which meant the eating areas were absolutely packed and never cleaned away quick enough and relayed for someone else to sit down. Whilst nice enough, this certainly wasn’t a 4* hotel. Overall, had a fab time but wouldn’t rush to come back to this hotel.

Arrived late due to flight delay but Stellios waited for us ?booked direct through Booking.com who conned us into thinking we had air conditioning and fridge included but that’s them not the hotel. Lovely room with pool view ?quiet first few days but then some inconsiderate people arrived who think it’s ok to shout and slam doors in the early hours ?grounds beautifully kept. Adequate breakfast although a bit of fresh fruit wouldn’t go amiss. I didn’t eat at the snack bar but my sister did and she said ?. Very tight with the ice for drinks though ?one cube per cup. Lovely swimming pool but icy cold water although as the weather was extremely hot it was welcome at times All in all a lovely week ??

The Caretta Beach is a modern hotel situated in Kalamaki on the south coast of the most beautiful island in the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos. The hotel is in a private, picturesque area by the main road of Kalamaki, only 4km from the capital city Zakynthos Town and 2km from the International airport of the island. The soft sandy beach is only a 5 minute walk away and is the home of the famous loggerhead turtles, Caretta-Caretta.
We just returned from 11 nights. We have stayed in Kalamaki before just at a different hotel but have visited this for the day due to the water park, we had a great day so decided to stay here on our next return. I read bad reviews and thought they aren’t honest but they are. The fun park is also not free which I assumed would be included. You can to pay per ride. The only good thing about this hotel is the staff in the restaurant. They are so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The Buffett hall is just the same food. It’s very boring and plain. Lots of pork constantly. We only ate breakfast here. Every evening we ate out. The snack bar is ok. They do not have a big variety of food. The breakfast stops at 10am so if you want a lay in and then think to get a snack you cannot until 11am as it doesn’t open until then. They have an ice cream bar and the lady is so rude working there. I have no idea of her name but she has long dark hair. One day she just threw the ice cream at my daughter across the counter. The drinks are in the smallest cups going. They taste awful too. The bar staff are friendly enough. They are worked such long hours. They have a small supermarket which has everything you need and very reasonably priced, the lady working there just sits in there smoking the whole time-put me off going in there to be honest as it stinks. The water park is the best feature. They only have two slides on at a time. So you do have to wait every two hours for a slide to open. The kids section open all the time. The life guards here are very friendly. The hotel pool was also good. Theres no one to man the pool during the day it’s just left. We stayed at the block where the restaurant is in the middle of the pool. Our room wasn’t the best. I had to go and ask the reception staff for toilet roll as we wasn’t left any. There’s was more people doing the same. Also there was four of us in the room and we were only left 2/3 bath towels so I had to go get more. They have a shower pump in the bathroom which was empty. The bathroom was dirty. They didn’t clean any glass in the room during our whole stay. The only thing they did do was change the sheets and empty the bin. I will include photos of my bathroom. The shower was constantly blocked. I ended up pulling out weeks worth of hair from the shower plug. They aren’t cleaned properly. You also get 4 coat hangers in your room. It’s not enough for anyone. So we just had to live out of suitcases. When we arrived we didn’t get any info on the hotel. No food times. No entertainment lists nothing. Usually when I’ve stayed at an all inclusive hotel you also receive a towel service for the pool-here you pay for it. When we left we had to leave our room at 11am. After that we were roomless. We had to get changed in the disabled toilet with our two daughters. No shower before getting on the plane no allocated room to use. For an all inclusive hotel I’m very disappointed. I would never stay here again. It’s an over priced butlins!

We stayed here for 16 nights and loved every minute of our time. It was our wedding so they very kindly upgraded our room to suit the occasion and I was very impressed. The staff were all excellent and very friendly and helpful and helped us out when we had a few hiccups with luggage not arriving from airline. Place was absolutely spotless and the pool bar was very reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel. The staff at this hotel played a big part in making our wedding/honeymoon go absolutely perfect. Many thanks to all Steve and lesley

5th time staying in Kalimaki, but definitely our last stay at this hotel. Not shown to room on arrival, just pointed in the general direction of G6 and then left to find room for ourselves, across wooden walk way and on the 1st floor. Good job we are able bodied as had to carry cases up ourselves. When we arrived at the room around 3pm we found that the toilet had no seat, when we contacted reception, they informed us this had been broken by the last guests and works be fixed as soon as the maintenance person was back. We rang reception again around 7pm only to be told that it may not be repaired until the next day. Yes superior rooms have coffee making facilities, but you have to purchase the coffee, tea, milk, sugar from local shop - its not supplied. Also just informed to look out for G7 if you want the main dinning area. Main dinning area - Breakfast can be limiting at times anyway but looking around the dining room - run out of bacon - no problem - we'll provide the same sausage twice for breakfast - we'll just slice the one in half down the middle. The dinning area staff treat you like children & decide you cannot have a large drink (non-alcholic cold or hot) at breakfast time - therefore creating queues and more washing up. Don't get me started on the washing up - this is the the only place on the island that we've been to that provide grubby looking glasses & cutlery constantly. Not a fault of the hotel, but the attitude of some of its guests stinks. Barging in front of you at dinner time while you are actually trying to put the food on your plate. We all paid to stay here, therefore stop acting entitled and selfish. Snack bar left a lot to be desired - salad left uncovered all day, as are the bread rolls for hotdogs & burgers (meaning they dry out and no longer fresh). Food seems like leftovers. Cocktails I personally found undrinkable, I prefer taste over being able to strip paint if I spill my drink. 1x lager available - Zorbar. No options to purchase other drinks not in all inclusive package (hotel does not stock anything else). Welcome card in hotel room gives you times for lobby bar & roof to bar - (unless I'm losing my mind - neither of these exist) Don't expect a lay in. Half the time we hadn't even got out of bed for breakfast and the cleaners were knocking on the door to clean the room (clean room greatly appreciate - but so is a lay in). If you were thinking of taking electronic devices such as tablets to keep the little ones entertained during the morning/evening while you get ready, unless you have unlimited data don't bother. The WiFi connection is shocking, unless your are in the bar, dining areas - even then it can be hit & miss if it's working. Pool in front of superior Rooms with pool/sea view - on arrival there were enough umbrellas for 1 per 2 sunbeds again there were guests believed these were all for their sole use that they required 3 for 1 sunbed, after a 2 week stay so many had been broken by guests that it ended up with 1 per 6 beds. Also selfish guests that moved the picnic benches further apart under the shaded area at superior room pool and put 2x sunbeds under the picnic area there, making this area no longer use able by other guests. We had been staying at the hotel for 10 days and we're only just discussing how dirty the water-line was on the pool as well as the bottom of the pool - then the very next day pool maintenance took place. Who knows by the end of the season the 2 hot tubs around the superior room pool may be up and running. But on a positive note - umm........ The beds were comfy.
