I simply love this place! Yes it can be busy! So don’t complain! Owners Kris and John are always there and are hands on working owners. The food is ALWAYS super delicious. Try the Longboard Sandwich and of course there famous knuckle pastry. Won’t tell you what it is, you can go find out for yourself. A must for breakfast, lunch or dinner(Mon-Tue
Closed for dinner) way Better and cheaper than all the hotels!!

The right slice has excellent pies! Baked fresh every day in a variety of tropical flavors. I got the lemon pie, mango-liliko'i and liliko'i cheese cake (don't judge me!). They were all so very tasty it's really hard to pick a favorite! The owner was...MoreAloha Renee P! Thank you so much for your kind review! We hope you were able to come back lots of times! I love to hear that I am not the only one who has a hard time deciding on the flavors! Much Mahalos! Sandy

Loco Coco is a food stand serving delicious, all-natural shaved ice topped with local fruit.
This is a shave ice shack that is almost great. It has delicious sauces on the shave ice, but they don't have the balance of flavor and texture with the ice cream at the bottom quite perfect. It is as good as any shave ice that we had on Kauai, but not as good as Vintage shave ice on Oahu.

We ordered their largest pizza with black olives, italian sausage, and mushrooms. We chose to have the wheat crust (which we never had on a pizza before). We could have had garlic along the perimeter of the pizza but my wife objects to garlic so we said no to that. We certainly have had larger (large pizzas). It wasn't bad but felt it was slightly overpriced ended up with one coke also and with a good tip totaled $44.00.

Aloha! We serve freshly made Juices, Acai bowls, smoothies, wraps, sandwiches and parfaits. Located in Kukuiula store next to Da Crack, Outfitters and Seasport Divers. Just look for the yellow submarine. Mahalo!!
Yes the sticky buns and shave ice around the island are wonderful. But sometimes you need a healthy alternative. The juice, smoothies and acai bowls at Anake's are wonderful! The pictures other people have posted don't lie. It's hard to choose which one to pick and no matter what you pick, you won't be sorry. Must try!! It's about $8-9 per person.

This is our favorite Island dinner place.
Starting with great hospitality and decent pricing, this is our destination for Prime Rib Thirsday through Sunday.
I find the appetizer portion pork ribs to be an ample serving as a main course for dinner and beef prime rib enough for two.
Get away from tourist trap resort places and come here for real American dinners.
Kids menu items are ample for pre teens.

After reading all the great reviews decided to walk over from Koala Landing Resort. As many reviewers indicated, it's in a small, local grocery store that we thought was cool - but others might be freaked out. Makai Sushi is basically a walk up stand and it's made in front of you. Two people were behind the counter - a gal who was quite pleasant and a guy making the bowls. Perhaps my expectations from all the reviews were too high as my husband and I both thought the prices were high and the food average. $ 16 dollars for a Gorilla bowl at a walk up stand in a grocery store. Glad we tried Makai Sushi but don't plan on going again during our next visit to Kauai - will try Da Crack which is right next door. Do regret not trying the Poke bowls from the grocery store, Ishihara, in Waimea - heard their food is great at good prices - also on the hit list next trip.

Nice little outlet with very decent espresso (macchiatos) from a La Marzocco machine. Had a granola fruit yoghurt bowl too, which was very good. They have a little backyard surrounded by little art galleries. Friendly staff Worth it
