This is the only shrimp truck on Maui. Shrimp trucks are very popular on Oahu, so I wanted to compare/rate this business.
Went b/c of TA reviews.
Sublime.
Yeah -it's truck food. Pleasant efficient staff. Went non peak hours. Minimal wait. We found the location next to the industrial port not too pleasant aesthetically to eat our lunch . Started back to hotel. The smell was intoxicating. We folded. No pride. Had to stop asap. Burger King parking lot with a view of the mountains.
Shrimp were perfect.
I got the scampi- husband spicy pineapple.
Was very prejudicial regarding the sides.
Macaroni-mayonnaise concoction w crab. really?
To die for! Wanted a vat.
White rice scoop. Dietary guidelines say Nooooo.
But when mixed with the sauce from the shrimp- heaven.
So I did extra time on the elliptical.
So worth it.
Will definitely go back.

So many amazing flavors explode when you open up your lunch at Tin Roof. Located in the most off the beaten path, one would never know where it was except the outrageous line pouring out the door, that moves exceptionally fast. The price was right, the flavors amazing and the returning crowd, impressive!

Local institution I always wanted to try. Lives up to the reputation. Great food, served with aloha, very reasonable prices. Mixed plate was huge, everything on it was delicious. Fish, chicken, pork, all perfect expressions of what I expected. The mac salad was surprisingly one...MoreAloha! We appreciate you stopping in and letting us know how much you loved everything from our fish to our pork. Hope we'll see you again soon. Mahalo, Keala Richards, General Manager

We love to come here before we leave Maui or when we are in the Kahului area. We love to get there by 11:30 to get the fish special. This past trip they had Ono which is well ono.... It comes with rice and a nice Caesar salad for around $12. The portion is very large and it is tasty. The views of the west Maui mountains and the golf course fairway is a wonderful view while having a great lunch. This is a true hidden treasure.

We ordered the green curry shrimp for a snack and quickly ordered another of the same. The vegetables were hot and crunchy, the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the green curry sauce was delicious.

Nice restaurant within the hotel I stayed, there are lots of locals eating there. The food is alright, nothing special, and the amount of food is pretty big. The prices are doable, at least for diner, I didn’t go there for breakfast.

Hubby wanted dinner at KFC ( which I don't eat) so he took me to Down to Earth first - what a beautiful grocery store and restaurant! All vegetarian and organic. I had vegetarian lasagna, curried veg and Brussels sprouts from their hot food to go bar. $11.95 a pound I believe it was. Food was very tasty and hot - delicious! In Kahului close to the airport. They also had a soup and salad bar and sandwiches to go too.

Bistro Casanova is located at the ground floor of the Kahului office building, a four stories property across the street from Kahului beach, just one mile from Kahului airport. Your GPS device will probably lead you to the large parking space behind the building. You can gain entrance to the Restaurant both from Kaahumanu Avenue, where a large awning with the sign Bistro Casanova will guide you from the parking stalls to the front door, and from Lono Avenue, where a large sign shows the entrance from its main address: 33 Lono Avenue. In both cases, you'll have no problem in finding parking, day or night time. See you inside, where you'll be able to choose a table in the air conditioned dining rooms or "al fresco", in the lanai. Bistro Casanova awards winning cuisine is often recognized as the best option for a memorable meal in busy Kahului, before or after a trip to the airport or a show in nearby theaters and movies houses. Since 2009 Bistro Casanova is a very popular destination because of its tapas, pastas, steaks and fresh seafood. Discover why.
Enjoyed the band and the lovely unrest ambiance of the restaurant. Regular menu not available, but shared a delicious smoked salmon thin crust pizza.
Very friendly atmosphere, although essentially full when we arrived, some nice local people invited us to join their table. We enjoyed chatting with them and folks at a neighboring table during the break between sets. Friendly atmosphere was continued after the show when cake was served to all patrons to celebrate one of the band member's birthday .

Hungry at the end of a long day, we stopped here on a whim and discovered a real gem. Not only was the food delicious, but the place looks beautiful and welcoming.
