Reviews on Seafood food in Kagoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Take a quick ferry ride to Mount Sakurajima, a smoldering volcano, Or, if you prefer to view active volcanoes from a more comfortable distance, stop at one of the many lookout points around the city. (Siroyama Observatory is a good choice.) Finally, if there’s anything better than a foot bath after a long day of sightseeing, it’s a free foot bath after a long day of sightseeing… and you can enjoy one at Sakurajima Nagisa Foot Bath Park.

A small restaurant serving various local cuisines using pacific bluefin tuna, mainly from Amami Islands south of Kagoshima. Don (bowls) with raw fish on the top is the popular menu, although other items such as shell fish, salmon, sea urchin, etc, can be added. If you cannot eat raw fish, don't worry as they serve tuna cutlets or tuna steaks. The place can be crowded at dinner time but worth waiting as you can taste local dishes at a reasonable price (discount coupons are available on the airport bus).

Best sushi spot in Japan!! By far! It's best to speak a little Japanese, but I was lucky and had bilingual guest there both times. The food is amazing, the price is incredible for the service and quality of food. It's a local spot but extremely welcoming. I always left with my belly full and a big smile on my face. I can't wait to go back! The chefs are characters they had the whole restaurant laughing every time. this is a MUST SEE if you are in Kagoshima, its super easy to get to from the main JR station

After the four of us (two US couples, 60-ish) returned from a cruise-based land tour, we strolled thru the âDolphin Portâ and found a terrific conveyor belt style sushi restaurant. Itâs casual, friendly, quick and had English menus. The sushi, shrimp tempura and Udan noodle soup was perfect. Very affordable at about $12 US per person. Donât miss this place - youâll love it.
