The location is opposite to the Kagoshima-Chuo Station whichi is starting station of JR Shinkansen trains. And also center of the kagoshima-city that easy to access the city bus, tram,JR local train and the bus bound for kagoshima airport whichi is departing every 30 minutes at glound floor of this hotel. The guest room is avilable viewing sakurajima maountain depend on the weather.
Well located in front of Shinkansen station and tram stop. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can drop off luggage if you arrive prior to check in. Parking close by for an additional fee (¥1100-¥1200/day). Appears to be new and very clean. View of Sakurajima from lobby, but single rooms are said to all face the square between the hotel and Shinkansen station, which is not bad, although not the same ;) Many good restaurant choices around. Breakfast buffet is OK, not exceptional, but does the job. The city is not big so there is easy road access towards the mountains and the shore if you are sightseeing or hiking. Many points of interest within ~1 hour drive. Also nice points of interest accessible in the city using tram/walk.

Good local food choices at the restaurant. Huge Onsen bath (hot spring) is available. Kagoshima made Whiskey with Soda after spa made me truly relaxedness.

The location and quality of this hotel can not be better. It is more premium than usual business hotels while there are many restaurants and shops within 5 min walk. The compact rooms offer all you need in a limited space, same as most hotels in Japan. Parking was easy with the automatic system (at a fee). Generally a pleasant stay!

And also within 5 minutes' walk to Airport shuttle bus stop. Free WiFi is available in all guest' rooms and lobby area. Rooms at this hotel are air conditioned and all feature a TV with liquid crystal screen, free toiletries, a hairdryer, bathrobes, and an individual private bathroom.
Unbeatable location in train station with all the mods con you would expect from a good hotel. Delightful staff and the room (ladies floor) was perfect. Warning: next to the station there is a shopping mall and it is VERY easy to spend a lot of time and money there especially on a late opening night. As for food, breakfast is fine. The restaurant attached to the hotel in the evening does not have a vegetable in sight unless you do the shabu option (the pronto bar offers more vegetables and salads) but there are plenty of other restaurants close by (street and station)

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Dormy Inn. I stayed here for two nights while in Kagoshima. The location is excellent, it's within walking distance from all the major sites. I am an English speaker and had no problem with check in or check out. The rooms were nice a bit on the smaller side but they were modern and clean. They even have a late night complimentary ramen which was very nice. They have an onsen but I did not use it. Overall, I really had a nice stay here and would come again. Thanks!

The room was considered big with two Super single beds and clean. Washing machines, vending machine and microwave were all available for guest used. Hotel was located 10min walk from Tenman shopping street and 15min walk from JR Kagoshima station. However, the Kagoshima tram station was just right in front of the hotel. Convenient indeed if you are travelling by tram. We enjoyed the public onsen and the breakfast spread a lot. The breakfast dishes were super yummy.

Kagoshima offers more than beautiful natural scenery: it also boasts a rich array of history, culture, gourmet delights, and so much more! The Sengan-en is a popular tourist destination in the area. Here you will find an enchanting Japanese garden overlooking the fantastic scenery of Mount Sakurajima. The garden was the pride and joy of the Shimazu clan, samurai lords of the former Satsuma Domain. The facility also houses a dining area, a gift shop where you can buy local goods, and other amenities. Nearby the Sengan-en are several buildings that have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as “Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution.” These include the Shoko Shuseikan Museum, at one time Japan’s oldest western-style machine factory in a stone building and now a museum where you can learn about the history of Japanese industry, and the Shuseikan Foreign Spinning Engineers' Residence, an important western-style mansion dating to 1867. Nearby the hotel you can discover a host of other attractions that the whole family will enjoy, including the Hirakawa Zoological Park, where you can encounter rare animals like the white tiger and the koala, and the Kagoshima City Aquarium, famous for its massive whale shark and popular dolphin show! Tenmonkan-dori Shopping Arcade is the largest gourmet center in Kagoshima Prefecture, and is also a great location to do some shopping and grab a bite to eat while you walk.
Although the hotel is out of the main centre and more in the port side. You can simply catch the number 16 bus into tow for 200Yen and see the sights which makes for a great day trip. Hotel has quite a few amenities and the rooms are a decent size. Hotel is opposite a 7eleven store and an amazing ramen shop is around the corner. Rooms offer a great view of the sakurajima volcano.
