While on our way to Graasten Palace, we stopped at this bakery / grill (two separate entrances) to buy morning bread, coffee, and tea. Once inside, we noticed that this fine establishment not only sells freshly baked breads, rolls, pastries, and coffee/tea, but provides excellent and tasty deli sandwiches, for lunch, as well. There is a secluded, nice and cozy patio available if diners wish to sit outdoors to enjoy their meal / beverage. Otherwise, seating is available indoors. We did not try food from the grill. However, if the quality of food therefrom matches the quality of food from the bakery, you simply cannot go wrong at either place.Worth the stop? Definitely.
Sehr empfehlenswert....

Our family of 11, ages 5 to 75 years, had dinner at this restaurant recently, on a saturday evening. Everybody found things that they liked to eat, even the 9 year old who is very selective. The atmosphere at the restaurant was relaxed and enjoyable. The price was reasonable for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Just a note here, to mention that dessert was not included in the buffet, but could be purchased in an adjoining room.
Awesome bakery with many choices. We had a Cinnamon Danish and it was delicious! Be sure to take a number when you arrive! The staff was friendly and very helpful.
We had 'Snysk med stegt flæsk(smoked)' , a local dish. There are as many ways to make 'Snysk' as there are true 'Sønderjydske' housewives. Snysk is potatoes and the veggies of the season, boiled in milk. It is served with pan fried pork belly, some times smoked porkbelly or with the local sausages. The dish was beautifully presented, with the milky sause added at the time of serving. We had it with white wine, but a beer would go well with this as well. Be aware, the selection of dishes are limited.

Allright i have very fond memories about the location mommark from my childhood, but until a few years ago the old harbour and fisher and ferry place was almost gone derilict and neglected. However it seems now a good soul has taken care of the place and made this a place worth coming back to again. The new caretakers of Mommark Marina has put a lot of hard work and soul into bringin this place back to its glorious times. we had the pleasure to enjoy a larger family dinner here and was smitten by the hosts good food and excellent selection of wines and beers(anyone who serves kronenbourg on tap is allright in my book). we especially recommend the smoked fish, which is catched and smoked by the Marina itself. So if you visit the island of Als - please go for a lunch at this wonderful spot.Thank you very much for the nice Words....We are glad that you find our wunderfull Marina Nice.

I've been to Torvehallen on several occasions for a take away pizza. The variety is interesting compared to other restaurants and pizzarias in the area, and the taste is usually good. On my last visit however, I witnessed the owner talking down to one of the employees. It was a clearly audible scolding for everybody in the restaurant, which granted wasn't a lot og people at the time, and it was over a salad. Now I do respect that the owner wants a certain standard and that the salad lacked something to live up to that. But this scolding made me cringe. It was out of place and unnecessarily loud. After the scolding the owner walked by me and gave me the slimiest of smileys as if the demeaning scolding was natural and to be expected. With such disregard for his staff's wellbeing, I am done eating food from Torvehallen, and I sincerely hope his chef has found a better place to work.
