Aswar Madaba Restaurant was built over the original house of Awwad Al Salti (Of Al Salt City), it was renovated by his grandsons in his loving memory. He was known as Awwad AlSalti and was famous for his generosity, nobility and kindness, Awwad built this
We visited on a Friday night, the manager took us on a tour around the two floored restaurant with a terrace , a private room and an outdoor seating area. The manager and service were professional (although they could have been more attentive and faster since the place was relatively empty). The appetizers were very tasty and rich. The Kofta tahini was the best I have ever had: fresh local lamp cooked to perfection. Same applies to the ribs and arayes. Bathrooms were clean and the place was nicely decorated.

I love going to this restaurant because you're eating outdoors without realizing it. It's a beautifully curated courtyard. The staff is helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. One of the best restaurants in Madaba.

We had 2 appetizers: the halloumi and the local sausages. The halloumi was served in a sizzling iron pan topped with chopped tomatoes and olives. It was delicious and a well balanced appetizer with the rubbery squeeginess of the salty halloumi mixing well with the sweetness of the tomatoes. The local sausages were wolfed down by my children in seconds! The sausages were deliciously peppery contrasted with the tangy lemon garlic sauce. For mains we had the meat saljiah which was sublime! Tender spiced minced lamb cooked in this delectable tomato-onion gravy. The burst of flavor in the mouth had us fighting to get the last bite. Last but not least was the maftool pottery which was a stew of cous cous, chicken, onions and chickpeas. Absolute comfort food and reminded me of home cooking. We truly recommend this place although it is pricey.

Authentic Jordanian cuisine is served here in a real Jordanian environment and genuine atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the whole country, Mazayen Nebo has introduced a special dining experience, bringing our gastronomic heritage together with our fre
We stopped here for a quick buffet lunch on our way to Mount Nebo. It was recommended in our guide. Wouldnât say this was the best lunch we had in Jordan...not even close... but there was variety and choice so that was nice. And to be honest, there is hardly anything else in the area to choose from! The buffet costs 10JOD or 12⬠per person.

Seafood restaurant located inside the mall with good view over the Dead Sea. We went for mix of Arabic specialties, which were very good and mixed seafood platter, which was pretty average and actually quite overcooked. All in all, not the best place to have your lunch or dinner, yet has some good food and views.

I'm not one to eat non-traditional cuisine while on travel so having Italian food in the Middle East was a stretch for me. However, the food at Il Terrazzo was really good! We ordered salads and pasta dishes with seafood and meat. The pasta is made on-site. Service was very good and timely. Ask to sit at a table outside so that you can enjoy the sunset. Later in the evening there is music; it can get kind of loud but everyone is having a great time. If you are staying at the Marriott and are trying to figure out where to eat on-site, pick this! The main restaurant on-site isn't anywhere near as nice.

We had a fabulous dinner here. Lots of great choices. I ordered fish thinking that might not be a good choice in a land locked area. I was delightfully wrong. Huge prawns, salmon and yummmmm. Delightful location with a view across the Dead Sea. I highly recommend

The service was good . The young men who seemed to be in charge of the bill seemed too eager to look for the tip-a bit disinterested in the customer. The food waitresses however were fantastic. Good value.

Went there for a late lunch during Ramadan. We had typical Arabic specialties, hummus and liver were the highlights of a meal. Very good service is a plus.
