Hotel recommended this restaurant by the harbour. The menu is limited but what's on offer is good! Go for fish. There's a nice view of the harbour and the young staff members - part-timers, no doubt - are competent friendly.

Since I'm a glutenintolerant vegan there was only one option for me on the menu, so I asked if the vegan option was gluten free and the staff said it was. When the food arrived I was immediately disappointed. The vegan burger was store bought (I thought it was home made because of the price) and it was tasteless and half of the ingredients that was supposed to be served with the burger was missing. I sent the food back because I could not eat it, but even though I had sent the food back and had taken only two bites of the food I still had to pay full price for it. I really didn't think this was justified so I asked to talk to the manager. He was a real jerk and had no sense of customer service or showed any will to solve the problem. And if this wasn't enough this visit ended with a bloated stomach, nausea and vomiting (I´m guessing the food wasn't gluten free after all). This restaurant is certainly NOT worth visiting and I really wish I could have my visit undone. This is my first and last visit here, so if you don't want a bad experience in food or service you should really stay away from this place.

Stopped for some vegan ice cream after having lunch in Gränna. This place is easy to find on the main street. There was no vegan ice cream available at the counter but they have a freezer with different flavours of ice cream in small cartons. We tried the pistachio and peanut butter respectively. Both were excellent. Highly recommended.Thank you for the nice review, sorry for taking so long :) Its nice to hear you liked our vegan icecream, we are very pleased with it ourselves. Next time you have to try maybe our vegan liqorice or the strawberry sorbet. Hope to see you again!

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake. Really tasty food. We got the lobster soup and salad with beetroot and cheese for starters. To the main course we got grilled sirloin with exciting accessories. We drank the house's Italian red wine that tasted excellent. Prices do not belong to the cheapest, but are worth the money. Friendly, attentive and competent service.

Grenna Hotell offers a beautiful dining room as well as outdoor seating. We arrived as a group of 30, and were met by friendly staff, promptly serving our various pre-ordered dishes. We really appreciated the service, and enjoyed genuinely home-made food (I loved the traditional Isterband sausage with beetroot and potatoes).

It is really worthwhile to find this place southeast of Gränna. The surroundings are marvellous next to the Lake Bunn. They had a good menu with both fish and meat. We had the "the special offer of the Summer". A very good choice whith Salmon boiled with apple served with asparagus, pickled potatoes and a Sauce Verte, flavored with Wild garlic. That sauce was to die for.On sundays they have the typical Swedish lunchbuffé "Smorgosbord"This is a place we just MUST return to.Look at their homepage: http://bauergarden.se/

This shop is situated on the Main Street of this quaint little town. The pizza here is thin crust and good, although both the pies we ordered were just lukewarm when served. Prices were very reasonable. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. There is a single toilet.

We visited this small restaurant with 3 adults and 2 young children. Although the restaurant does not really cater for children the hostess changed some of the dishes to make them suitable for the children. The restaurant offers some Polish dishes and drinks, but also offers Swedish and inrtrnational cuisine. We enjoyed the quiet relaxed ambiance and background music. We were satisfied with the quality of the dishes.

The Västanå Slottshotell (manor/castle) is located on the eastern side of the magnificent Lake Vättern opposite Visingso island. Västanå Slott Hotel rents out two historic houses in nearby Röttle by (village). We rented Brogården house located on the southern bank of the Röttlean (river) and had the opportunity to dine at the Västanå Slottshotell. Upon arrival we had drinks in the reception bar surrounded by artworks, artefacts and historical curios. The staff kindly allowed us to have a look around on the upper floor with its magnificent dinning, drawing and reception rooms with views over Lake Vättern. We were a party of six adults and two children. Martin (aka Marty) was our gracious host and showed us to our private dining room adorned with fine artworks. We adults were served a four course dining experience with wines including a good Tasmanian Riesling that we noted to Martin was almost Australian which confused our host as he was certain Tasmania was in Australia. It is of course but ask a Tasmanian and they’ll assure you it isn’t. Five of us are Aussies and thought it was all very funny (förlåt Martin). I also enjoyed several excellent local beers (Naas was my favourite as a non-wine drinker) to accompany my courses. The chef kindly provided burgers and chips and ice cream for the kids so they were happy. The atmosphere of the private dining room was very convivial and the food , wines and beers were excellent. Martin was very attentive and maintained his polite reserve and excellent service throughout our wonderful and high spirited dining experience. Martin spoke very good Oxford English and was somewhat surprised that English was in fact our first language. Our Swedish family members came to the rescue if things got lost in translation. Tack tack Martin you were a great host. All in all we had a great evening at the Västanå Slottshotell and I recommend it for anyone who would like to experience something different and the atmosphere of spending a convivial evening in an authentic 16th century Swedish manor house.
