Staying locally overnight on business the initial search for food looked bleak, peoples ideas of good dont match mine. I decided to look online for an Italian restaurant instead, a good Italian meal is one of lifes great pleasures after all.
Cardosis popped up as a possible option. I read the online menu, looked at a few reviews and phoned to book a table. It was a very rainy Tuesday night so when I walked in I was expecting an empty restaurant. It was pretty busy with groups and couples dotted around the place. I had a small booth to myself and scanned the menu for a while to narrow down the choices.
I finally decided on the Pork Belly to start and Veal Pamigiana for the main course, I can honestly say every mouthful was a pleasure.
The service was excellent which just adds to the dining experience.
Thank you, I will be back one day.

Open every day from 9:30 am. Serving breakfast, lunch. Also open for dinner every Friday, Saturday. Last orders for food on Friday, Saturday are 9:00 pm
The sign above the shop says "GOURMET KITCHEN", but to me it is just a glorified café.
It was quite busy at lunchtime, including 5 prams.
The service is SLOW!!! Ordered the full breakfast which, considering it is supposed to be freshly cooked, was lukewarm at best, and served by indifferent staff.
After waiting 20 minutes for my dessert, I gave up, paid and left - never to return.
It was disconcerting to use the gents, with dozens of pictures of Marilyn Monroe on the walls watching.

It's a family run restaurant with a great team of staff who have been with us for years. This is important to me as I feel customers appreciate having the same staff when they visit; it makes it more personal something that I aim for. My customers are extremely important to me especially with this being a small village it is vital that the customers feel welcome every time they return. We serve traditional Italian food and have a very extensive menu. We have a lunch menu, pre-theatre and of course a la carte. If your looking for somewhere relaxing to enjoy a quiet drink during the day or before and after your meal head upstairs to the bar where we have a variety of continental beers and wines from most regions in Italy, we also sell a selection of hot food, cakes and pastries. The location of Bridge of Weir is an idyllic peaceful village and in the summer our beer garden which is situated upstairs offers wonderful views of the village. We are not looking to turn Amaretto into a brand we want to concentrate on this restaurant and our customers and give something back to the community here. We want to give to give the people of Renfrewshire somewhere they can go anytime of the day and enjoy great food and drink along with great personal service.
We enjoyed a great family Sunday lunch here, celebrating the arrival of our new grandson who was present but oblivious to it all.
I had a tasty carbonara followed by a very generous portion of tiramisu washed down with an excellent red wine from Puglia.
When I first arrived it was a bit bewildering .... do I want to sit upstairs or downstairs .... and then there was a confusing choice of menu's ... needs to be a bit more straightforward I think - just a minor point.
But, yes I can recommend it

Don't normally choose Italian restaurants, however wasn't disappointed. Lunchtime business meal was delicious and staff were attentive and professionals. My colleague even mentioned he'd travel from Motherwell for a more formal experience....well done and thanks

table for 4 booked on a busy Saturday. We were seated pretty quickly, we had a new waitress, very friendly and checked with her boss when we ordered wine and asked for something not on the menu.
Great food including vegetarian option cooked specially for us. Extra hot veg southern chilli dish.
All food was really good mix of pakora and chat to start and with special curries and rice and dall for mains - excellent portions and price was really good.
Management is still all in family with manager on the night visiting from Cheshire.
Drinks were all reasonable and service was excellent including discussion about centre piece stone.

We visited Rennies for a family get together to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed an excellent meal. The specials board had a varied choice which complimented the regular menu and offered something a little bit different. I opted for the teriyaki chicken served with pak choi and wild rice which was scrumptious. The service was excellent and food was delivered timeously given every table was full. The atmosphere was friendly and staff very attentive. All in all a lovely experience was had by all. Value for money is an understatement we all enjoyed three courses 4 alcoholic drinks & coffee for under £30 per head. The birthday girl also received a beautiful wine glass which was a lovely gesture. Well done rennies, highly recommended.

Here are at la rambla, we serve tapas style food, which is basically small portions of food, which enables customer to try different meals at one time instead of just one big meal. Tapas are ideal for sharing among friends and family, it is basically a small buffet on your table. La rambla does tapas from different cuisines like spanish, italian, mexican and indian as well. We believe to give a bit of variety to our customers.
Probably the worst Spanish Tapas I’ve ever had considering the best thing I had at this restaurant was Pakora. Most of the food seems like it comes from a packet with the sauces being served in the plastic pots they come in with the lid ripped off. The staff are slow and the manager just seemed to glare at everyone. Decor is horrendous and there’s no music in the dining area. Certainly won’t be back.

Can never fault this place, great food and really friendly staff, it does get very busy sometimes and there can be a bit of a wait but its worth it, I'll be back very soon!
