Zhangjiagang (simplified Chinese: 张家港; traditional Chinese: 張家港; pinyin: Zhāngjiāgǎng; literally: "The Zhangs' tributary / The Zhangs' port", IPA: [ʈʂáŋtɕjákàŋ]), formerly Shazhou County (沙洲县), is a county-level city under the administration of Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China. With 1,246,762 inhabitants at the 2010 census, the city is now part of Jiangyin-Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang metropolitan area with 3,526,260 inhabitants. Continued growth will encompass the Yangtze River Delta metropolitan region. It borders the prefecture-level cities of Taizhou and Nantong across the Yangtze River, as well as Wuxi to the west.

Surprisingly good pizza and steak! Having lived in China for a while this place is great for a some western food and prices are very reasonable. Pizza is 60-70 rmb, beer 35rmb for an erdinger and surprisingly good steak for about 100. Also a pool table inside is new and at least some staff speak English. Inside the Goumao hotel complex

The first Naughty Beer opened in Suzhou in early 2016 and since then expanded quickly into the cities nearby. The concept is easy, some local craft beers on tap and a huge selection of international beers in the fridges around. All for very reasonable prices, much cheaper as in normal expat bars. And you will be surprised of how many international craft beers these guys import and offer.The Zhangjiagang bar is frequented by locals as well as expats. As the place is not very big, it is often difficult to get a table, so come early!

Good place to hang out after work. Great outdoor seating and location for people watching. The pub is pet friendly and has a little potted plant garden, cosy pub feel and of course the owners Echo, Rachel and pets Olaf (dog), Louis (big cat) and Zozo (little kitty) make the place really homey. Attracts locals and foreigners alike in a balanced, comfortable crowd.
