we went there for dinner in the place opposite to st Mary's school.the ambience was ok.it was crowded but since we reached before the usual dinner time so there were ample places to sit.the food was of average price and quantity is good.but the taste is not so good.i didn't like the starters.the main course was better with fried rice, lemon chicken and naan.the starters were too spicy and the spring rolls were not so good.

Went there on last Sunday ⦠heavily crowded ⦠had to wait there for a considerable 40 minutes. But I must appreciate one thing ⦠they were not asking people of different groups/families to adjust in a large table. They allot a single table for one family, even if the number of heads is only two.We ordered for mutton biriyani. Well, I did not expect the taste of Arsalan (Kolkata) or Paradise (Hyderabad), but there should be a minimum standard. My comments are as follows:(a) The rice has a plain taste ⦠a few weeks back we had chicken chelo kabab (this chelo kabab was also nowhere close to real chelo kabab, which is served in Peter cat, Kolkata) ⦠and the biriyani rice tastes exactly like that(b) The mutton pieces are small and full of bone ⦠most important is that the taste of mutton piece appears to be like some other mutton item ⦠it was not prepared for biriyani(c) Looks like they have a readymade pulao sort of rice ⦠which they serve in all kinds of dishes, such as pulao, biriyani, chelo kabab, etc., and for biriyani, they just pick up some mutton pieces from some readymade mutton item and put into that rice, and serve as âbiriyaniâ(d) Their biriyani does not contain egg or potato ⦠and also quantity is not very impressive.I must say that biriyani of Delhi Darbar in Jamshedpur is much much better ⦠at least they serve real biriyani. And, at a less price. Their only limitation is that ever since they have closed their âDastarkhanâ restaurant, they do not have a decent place for family dining. So ⦠I am gradually losing my impression on Moti Mahal. It is a decent place for family dining ⦠but do not expect some exclusive dishes. After all, how many times can one person order the same dishes, without trying different items in one restaurant? If you take most typical common items like dal fry, paneer masala, butter chicken with butter naan or jeera rice, etc. then Moti Mahal is good. That means, if you just want a family dining out, go to this place (in fact most people are like that, and that is why they are running their business). But if you really are a connoisseur of food, you will be disappointed.HelloWe are sorry we couldn't get par with your expectations with us. We will surely try to improve on our Biryani. Where as Chelo Kebab is concerned , we are far away from the famous restaurant in kolkata serving the same but we give in our best to provide the best quality. Our Chicken Biryani does have Egg and Potato and we prepare all our Dum Biryanis seperately. We hope to see you again in future and hope to exceed your expectations.

My memories of Madrasi Hotel on J Road dates back to 1966-71 when I was studying in KMPM Higher Secondary School (Now KMPM Inter College). I used to cross it everyday on my way to school and sometimes friends would save enough pocket money to grab a Dosa here. It was also our popular family outing joint and as kids we always looked forward to enjoy the delicacies here. During my recent visit to Jamshedpur, I couldnt resist visiting this place with my wife and we also invited some of our friends to join us. It was a nostalgic reunion at a nostalgic place where we refreshed and cherished all the old memories.

You get over 30 types of Dosas. Some are with North Indian touch too. 3 -4 types of Chutneys are available in line with Chennai's Murugan Idlis.. Idlis, Vada, Upma, Uttapam all are to the South Indian perfection...Perfect place to try, specially on weekend mornings, when the Jamshedpur's who-is-who is trying to queue up. Sometimes you have to wait to get a table...Follow it up by filter coffee....

we visit this place again and again since we love the food quality and the taste.the service was quick and we enjoyed the food. But compared to the price the quantity is too little as compared to other restaurants.we again opted for the chinese since we liked it last time.also the staff is too eager to serve or to take away the plates.after the first serving they can leave the dishes on the table so that we can eat slowly and serve ourselves as required.otherwise everything is fine and we will visit this place again and againDear Guest,Namashkar!Thank you so much for sharing your experience and words of appreciation. We are humbled and delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cuisine. We have noted your feedback about the quantity, service and clearance of food, will surely lookinto the same. Look forward to welcoming you back soon.Best Regards,Swati Chakravorty
