The $5 lunch special is a great deal. This DQ is clean and they are in the middle of a remodel, so it will only get nicer. The quality for cost is good but the value of their $5 lunch is above average for what you get. Locally owned and located on South Lincoln Avenue in Jerome, Idaho.

Great food and great service! Their homemade tortillas take the tacos to a level beyond anyone else. They're right up there with the street tacos we had in Centro Merida! And the tacos asada are usually on special for $1. Incredible. The staff is always friendly and attentive.

Absolutely wonderful coffee house/deli/restaurant. Great family run, great coffee, wonderful internet, soup, sandwiches, snacks, great tomato bisque soup! Clean, modern bathrooms. Place is immaculate. Tons of space to work: tables, bar counter, window spots, huge area. Such friendly folks. All this right in the very middle of town. Great stopping place not 5 minutes from freeway. Go there. Feel the warmth.Better than any Starbucks I have been to. Will stop anytime I am travelling through southern Idaho!

My wife and I ate here last night and were fairly impressed given the less than impressive choices in Jerome. I had the Carne Asada and my wife had the Shrimp Fajitas. Both provided generous portions and we have certainly been to Mexican restaurants that were worse tasting. I would put this in the top half of the Mexican restaurants that I have eaten at. The ambiance was not great but everything seemed to be clean. The service was average. I did like that they brought the check with a little Mexican snack (fried Tortilla with drizzled honey and whipped cream).

We were looking for a local place to eat as we always do when traveling cross country. Almost everyone knows what to expect when you visit a chain restaurant but it is the little family owned places that may be a bit out of the way but are so much more worth visiting and spending your money at...
Choate's is no exception to this rule. Fantastic food and folks, with many locals as well. The menu is your basic "diner" fare but the quality is above and beyond what you will find at the chain places. And, best of all, the prices are incredibly low as well. If you are still looking for fancy decor instead of great food, this isn't the place for you though.
Do not miss the chance to eat at Choate's if you are in the Jerome, Idaho area!

We just wanted coffe, but ended up getting the Belgian waffles. Mine were with cream and strawberries. The strawberries were sweet and the cream was good. There is a shop attached, which had unique and handmade items. Coffee is good too. Would come again.

Two Sites In Idaho; One In Jerome And The Other In Twin Falls
Called here whilst staying at the Jerome Best Western. The place doesn't look much from outside (or inside tbh) but the food was really tasty and generous portions. Service was good also. Err with caution if sitting on the faux leather bench......It needs more padding!!

Overall experience was quite pleasing. Great selection including burritos, enchiladas, rellenos and combination plates. Just about everything Mexican. Service was good, down home style and were quite friendly. The decor is very traditional. Prices were in the norm for this style and the portions were very big and very tasty.

This tiny, neat and clean Chinese restaurant met our need for a late, quick supper just right. They welcomed us warmly, and served soup and salad quickly. Salad was very crisp and good. Soup (hot & sour) was horrible, unlike any we had ever had before; it was not sour but kind of sweet instead. My husband ordered Mongolian beef; was served Manderine chicken. The mixup was quckly and cheerfully solved. It was very good. My order of MooGooGuyPan was perfect. Thank you Tia, for an enjoyable experience.

This just happens to be down the street from my Dad's when we come to visit. Supper and lunch - no problem! We are frequent customers! The owners are great and staff is friendly. Food is yummy and good prices! Worth the drive through town!
