With an unprepossessing exterior, and an interior not much better, we had called for a light lunch in hope rather than expectation. The chorizo and ham terrine was exceptional, the Guinea fowl pudding was so light and tasty, and the venison lasagne very good indeed. Lovely presentation also. Very Good indeed.

We ate at Glenbank (we were also resident) on day-2 of our cycling holiday through The Borders. Whereas an activity holiday demands quantity of food, we also like to retain quality as well, and Glenbank satisfied both these demands. Glenbank doesn’t provide supremely refined cuisine but rather is best described as very good home cooking: the slow-roast lamb shank I had was gorgeous. A reasonably extensive wine list complements the produce of the kitchen, and all served by the ever-enthusiastic Alec!

Visited for lunch on our way south. Ordered 2 different soups with 2 different toasties. Staff were so unfriendly, no smiles, just about threw the cutlery down and tutted when I went up to pay as I waited about 7/8 minutes for them to bring the bill to the table!
My juice glass, I only noticed once I had drank from it, was filthy - I'm still cringing now when I think of it! Soup and toasties came, wrong toasties with wrong soup so had to swap over - not a big dean but still!!
Food was tasty hence 2 stars otherwise I would have left one, there is a lot of competition in Jedburgh so it's a shame this place was so poor.

Family run Portuguese restaurant serving modern and traditional food in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
Had lunch here a few weeks ago and were not disappointed.
Small menu but adequate for lunch.
Prompt and friendly service and our orders were quickly brought to our table.
Fillet steak Sandwich hit the spot, very tasty and cooked to perfection that along with some salad and home made chips perfect.
Looking forward to trying the Wednesday evening Tapas.
The new owners have only been in the Clock Tower for a short period of time and I would definitely suggest booking a table and enjoying the excellent menu.

The Forresters is The restaurant above the Belters Bar we only open the top floor at the weekend We now offer a large selection of home-made gourmet burgers and grill menu consisting of steaks, chicken dishes and ribs with a large selection of side dishes
The menu is mostly creative types of burgers. I don't particularly like burgers, so I ordered nachos and buffalo wings. Both were good but the nachos had an odd sweet chili sauce rather than salsa, and no sour cream or guacamole was available. No buffalo dipping sauce either. Friendly service. I would probably skip unless you really like burgers, but it was solid.

A family-run cafe and bookshop. We provide drinks, snacks, meals and cakes throughout the day (hot food available 10am - 4.30pm). Meals are made fresh to order; baking and soups are homemade. Lavazza coffee
This was example of an excellent small cafe, where the choices were well judged and served to perfection.
Water for each pot of tea was boiled fresh each time. Soup very tasty and cakes extremely tempting. Staff were very friendly. Nice range of books to browse whilst in the cafe. A good find in Jedburgh.

Coffee shop located in Jedburgh. Offering a variety of homemade cakes and treats, delicious coffee and light lunches.
Visited for a coffee and ended up having a cake too as the selection was so tempting.
Cake and coffee were good, service was friendly and efficient.
My own personal negative was that it was very noisy and busy with young children. 15 years ago when I had a young child I would have loved this place as they provided a great indoor play area with good Seating around it to keep an eye on little ones.
Now that I don't have any little ones and just wanted a relaxing cuppa then I would prefer somewhere quieter. If however you have young children then this is a great place to go.

A small tearoom set in a beautiful walled garden with a thriving plant centre. Freshly prepared food often using fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden. Lovely views of feeding birds from the window seats, and plenty of outdoor Seating.
Have been here before for coffee and cake but this time visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Had the ploughman's lunch. The portion was huge, very tasty and great value for £8.00. The service is first rate. The cafe is well run and staffed, it has outdoor tables too and is within a walled garden and garden centre. Great surroundings and slightly off the beaten track.

Stopped here for a bacon sarnie and cup of tea on our way to Edinburgh. Friendly and cheerful staff and a really decent size pot of tea. The bacon roll was good without being memorable, but freshly cooked. Good selection of tray bakes and scones if you call in for afternoon tea. Prices are about average for this type of establishment. I would certainly recommend this place if you are in Jedburgh.
