So bring your little ones to enjoy this experience at no additional cost.
This place has a lot of potential but is fairly managed. I visited the resort with family and friends, you pay around $6 for adults and about $3 for kids to use the pool (you pay in pesos though). The gate guys was friendly, the folks that charge the pool service also friendly. The place has a lot of parking. The pools are fairly small compared to US pools. (No big deal) However, what I really would like to communicate to Jose who I believe oversees this place/or manages this place. The restaurant/pool wait staff service is horrible. The first time I went with family because they recommend this as one of the best resorts in Jarabacoa, we waited for almost an hour for the service guy to come take our order (and this happened with a few guests). The second time it was a little better since they had seen me before but still noticed how many guests being unattended. Recommendation, to Jose who is a nice guy. The place looks nice, lacks customer service in the pool area. Not sure how the rest of the resort is but like they say 1st impressions count. Keep in mind most of the folks who go there are folks who live in the US and travel back home all year round to visit family or friends. Jose was communicative and apologized for all inconvenience.

First of all, be aware this is neither the typical geography nor the typical weather of the Dominican Republic. This place is not about the Caribbean heat, sun and beaches. My wife and I were tired of the beach, since in the two previous months we had been in resorts in Punta Cana and Puerto Plata. So, for this occasion we decided something more in touch with Mother Nature. We chose three places in the Jarabacoa area and started calling them. Out of the three chosen places, Rancho Tierra Alta was the only one to respond our phone call. And it was providential! We didn’t take our car because the area is full of high hills and the road is not the safest. We took a Caribe Tours bus to Jarabacoa (350.00 Dominican pesos each) and then a taxi to the place (500 Dominican pesos). To me, the place was like a dream, like being in one of those films where people stay at a log cabin in the forest. Now, the deal is choosing the superior room. The others are ok, but this one doesn’t compare to nothing else. It is spacious, with a balcony, a king size bed, and a twin size bed in a corner, a sofa, bathroom and a big closet (that should had been cleaned more often, although we didn’t need it). There is also a Tv set and Wi Fi. The areas of this place (meaning the entrance, the living room, the dining room, the superior bedroom, etc) are decorated with such a good taste that being anywhere makes you fill nice, peaceful, and comfortable. Now, sitting at the balcony of the superior room, having some wine while eating a chocolate bar hand made by the women of Puerto Plata, (you can only get those at Nacional supermarket) and contemplating the view of the surrounding forest with lots of tall pine trees swinging in the breeze, and the far away lights of the city down in the valley … that’s something! I just couldn’t help thinking that’s the kind of place some famous novelists and composers used to retire to write their masterpieces. The service people were great, very nice and discrete. We ate their food and it had good taste.

We had a very enjoyable stay! Cathy was a great host and went above and beyond. As well as providing great advice, providing the best possible hospitality, helping with transport and logistics, she was also great company. There's so much of the great outdoors to enjoy in Jarabacoa that it would be great to go back one day, and if we do, we'll surely stay at Casa Los Pinos! Thanks to Cathy for helping to make it a special trip!

We are a very special place for those people who want to rest and enjoy their free time surrounding by nature and the peace of the city where always is spring (Jarabacoa). We have a meeting room were you can celebrate any kind of activities like, wedding, birthday parties, work shop, seminars and others.
I stayed here recently for about a week, and it was wonderful! I didn't even mind the non-air conditioned rooms and the spotty wifi; I could have lived there! The linens were changed every day and the rooms were cleaned, and the breakfast was awesome! Wonderful selection of good food! I can't wait to come back!

Enjoy a relaxing massage, dip in the Jacuzzi or curling up in a pillowy king-sized bed overlooking the mountain landscapes. Jamaca Hospitality offers room and home rentals to meet your unique needs. We would love to accommodate your small or large party
We had dinner at the restaurant on May 29, 2022. We ordered the duo of potato/squash soup and the parillada of seafood. The soup was cold, the squash version tasteless, and the potato version overpowered by garlic. The parrillada was even worse -- every bit was so overcooked...the lobster was so overcooked it was like sawdust in the mouth. It was cold and tasteless. Disgusting. We complained and they brought us a fried fish dish --- fish was tasty, but the sauce....cold and...yes, tasteless. Then we went to our $300 per night villa. They didn't give us a key to the place, and when we asked for it, a long story about how it was lost, blah, blah. The villa was filled with dust, one refrigerator was still dirty, with food and liquid stains, and the other one was leaking water. The stone steps were wet from a broken pipe water leak, in one bathroom the toilet seat was broken off, in another bathroom the toilet paper was soaking wet (and the only roll). No internet -- when I aske d

This was my 2nd time visiting Los Rancho Guazara. They exceeded my expectations. The staff member's were so respectful, helpful and they seemed to be one big family. We were a large group that flew in from the states, the staff guided and advised us for whatever the need was. Everyone left back home extremely pleased with Rancho Guazara. and let’s not forget THE VIEW of this beautiful Natural Villa Resort. Gracias Rancho Guazara. Dios me Los Bendiga
