The ryokan is well-maintained and the onsens are heaven! I would say onsens as they have both indoor and outdoor (must try). Not forget to mention that they provide you with a book of how to live in a ryokan. I would for sure try ryokans from now on.

First up I'll be honest that the rooms are smal(ish), but certainly the room we had was on a par with city centre budget hotels and plenty big enough for a couple of nights. With that said, there's nothing else to fault about the hotel for what it offers at the price. Staff are friendly and helpful, there's a rooftop onsen which is large enough for the size of the hotel (even offering an outdoor pool) and free ramen supper if you fancy a late snack. The rooms are spotless and the location is very convenient for the rail and bus stations, the port and the main shops/restaurants with the bonus of a small supermarket just across the road. If we end up back in Abishiri we'll use this hotel again.

From the moment we arrived till we departed, excellent service from all the staff was experienced. A relaxed check in comfort accompanied by drinks. The rooms had so many facilities not seen in most hotels, e.g. the face wash, shaving foam and aftershave in addition to moisturiser and lotions for ladies. Complimentary Snacks & teabags were refreshed daily. The best experience was the keseki dinners we enjoyed on both nights. Besides the fresh ingredients, the two serving staff went out of their way to translate the ingredients so that we could understand. I hope that hotel management will convey the appreciation from all of us staying in 301-304. I attached a photo.

The hotel is across from Sakaiminato JR station, about a 50min (cute) train ride from Yonago. The area has one of the largest ports known for snow crabs and all sorts of fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan. Visitors enjoy the crab markets in the area and seafood restaurants on a street with the theme of comic creatures by Muzuki Shigeru, a famous cartoonist from the area. This hotel itself was amazing. It was spotless, and every details from Ikebana flower arrangement to comfortable room with all sorts of amenities made us feel welcome. For foreign travelers they had a handout in English explaining their system. This enabled the foreign guests take full advantage of what the hotel offered. The top floor had natural Onsen hot spring baths with water so soothing to the skin. All necessary amenities were prepared by the hotel. The breakfast was known for create-yourself-Chirashi sushi and all the spread at the buffet with Japanese and western foods. Again the seafood here was so fresh. What made this hotel so special was the staff. Their hospitality was genuine, and showed they care. They made us feel like we came back to a home away from home. Definitely worth the experience.

=Glamorous Japanese style accommodation at ancient Hida-Takayama Japan= * The hot spring from Jindai spring gushes from 1200m underground. It is one of the few hot springs among the local accommodations. Its attractive spring quality feels like a rich beauty serum. If you touch your skin in the spring, you will feel the smooth silky texture. This particularly appeals to guests who love moist smooth skin and makes them visit again and again. * We serve you the very best out of the great variety of local fresh foods with Hida local sake according to the seasons. Wagyu Hida Beef Steak is the most popular main dish. Our selected beef supplier brings the finest quality Hida beef to us. The local Hida beef is famous for its marbling pattern but has no extra fat, and its texture is so soft it almost melts in the mouth. The cooking method for Hida beef varies including steak, shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. Dinner is the KAISEKI(Japanese traditional course meal).
Stayed 2 nites at this ryokan. Staff was friendly and efficient from Day 1, especially Atsushi. Most staff speak English. A nice property with both indoor and outdoor onsen. There’s a shuttle bus that runs between the train station and the ryokan which makes it very convenient for all guests. Food was good too.

Relax at Konansou, and soak your feet in a footbath on the roof, with the perfect view of Mt. Fuji. The resort also has 2 public baths; one for men, and one for women. 3 private baths, all with views of Mt. Fuji, are also available for booking. We also offer shiatsu massage, spa treatment, an amusement arcade, 3 karaoke booths, a coffee shop and a bar.
I went to Konansou appox. December 2018 for my Honeymoon trip. I can confidently say that staying in Konansou was definitely the highlight of my honeymoon trip. I got a japanese tatami room, facing the lovely Kawaguchiko, and ot was so comfortable. The service was excellent too, the service you would expect from Japanese Hospitality. The kaiseki dinner was amazing. They have a rooftop where they have a foot onsen, with a clear view of Mount Fuji. We got lucky that we could see the mountain clearly. The onsen was superb too, the perfect way to end the night. It was a really awesome experience. I would stay again for sure at Konansou.

My husband and I spent one night here to celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary. The facilities were lovely in our private room with its own onsen-style bath. We asked for a room with beds instead of “futon” and were very comfortable. The amenities (in the bath area) were generous. The evening meal was outstanding.

Where Onsen Heaven meets Hell Valley, Takimotokan extends a warm Hokkaido welcome. At Takimotokan you step into the very special world of the Japanese onsen ryokan. A world of hospitality that extends a warm welcome, steeped in over 160 years of history. Where active volcanoes feed healing onsen waters, beautiful natural vistas signal the changing seasons, and refined Japanese cuisine is made from the freshest Hokkaido produce.
This hotel is located just beside the entrance to the Jikokudani and is around 5 mins walk from the bus station crossing the onsen street. As I am travelling solo, thus the room I could get is western room and it looks like recently renovated. My room plan also included Japanese Kaiseki dinner which is good and buffet breakfast in the morning. Note that the hotel offer other room plan too, such as Japanese room with dinner serving in a restaurant or in room. There are also plan for buffet dinner too. Even without meal plan for your room, the hotel does have other restaurants or you could always find something at the onsen street. This hotel has a very big onsen bath overlooking the Jikokudani: Grand Bath with 5 different spring waters and a total of 35 different baths for male and female, indoor and outdoor. There is also a pool for kids under the grand bath. For onsen lover, this is indeed an onsen paradise, which I have spent about 1 hr+ X 2 visits! This is definitely a great hotel for onsen lover!

Very nice Yufuin ryokan located at the other end of town from the train/bus station, about a 15 minute walk. Advise using Google maps when walking around, especially after dark. It has both public and three private onsens and options for both breakfast and dinner. We stayed two nights and had the breakfast option. The two breakfasts were both very delicious and completely delicious different. We had dinner at nearby restaurants. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The hotel was a bit pricey.
