It is the seat of Östersund Municipality and the capital of Jämtland County. Östersund is located at the shores of Sweden's fifth largest lake, Storsjön, opposite the island Frösön, and is the only city in Jämtland. Östersund is the region's cultural and economical centre and by tradition a city of trade and commerce. Östersund had one of the most extensive garrisons in Sweden prior to its closure in the early-21st century. The city is the Mid Sweden University's largest campus site with approximately 7,000 students. With a total population of 44,327 (2010) Östersund is the 22nd most populous city in Sweden, the 46th most populous city in Scandinavia, and by far the largest inland city in Northern Sweden.

At lunchtime we had a nice meal at this place. The service was quick and the portions nice as well. We have visited this place earlier but now have the restaurant got more space and were nicer. It was space enough and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

I ordered a chicken pizza which was good, the problem was that the pizza was loaded with cheese!The pizza size was bigger than others in Ãstersund, can recommend it if you are hungry and looking for a restaurant where you can fill your empty stomach!

What do I want at a pizza place? Good crust, tasty sauce, plenty of cheese and fresh, flavorful toppings at a decent price. Pizza Diana met those needs PERFECTLY! I had the kebab pizza and everything about it was great. The staff were very helpful and even gave me additional creamy topping sauces to try with the pizza at no extra charge. The restaurant was clean, too... that's certainly important.My only complaint was that the pizza was too large for one person to eat, but that's a GOOD problem to have!

Körde takeaway. Tråkig, sladdrig kebab som inte smakar mycket alls. Inget speciellt med den milda såsen heller och bara en liten bit bröd som tillbehör. Rejält med sallad men det var inte mycket mer än isbergssallad och rödlök. Maten är okej men jag är övertygad om att det finns bättre att få tag på

We have visited Athena many times since 1977 ! Very good pizza - wide selection - not expensive. Also wide selection of meat and fish - "normal" prices for Ãstersund. Restaurant run by a greek-swedish family. Good and friendly service. We will certainly eat there again the next time we visit Ãstersund.

You were given a card which you show when collecting food and then pay when you leave. There were several places where you can order the food you want. During our times there were practically no queues as you are given a "bell" which alarms when your portion is ready. So, you can queue on sitting on table instead of standing.System works fine and food was very good. The price goes up easily and is likely to be more than in buffets on near by restaurants.
