This was our first visit to the restaurant. Weâd heard many good reviews of it. My husband didnât realize it was a total health food type restaurant. He ordered a beer. She snapped back by telling us to go down the street to another restaurant. I explained it was our first visit. Next I tried to order a wrap that had delicious ingredients but also had spinach and lettuce. I ordered but asked not to put those 2 items in my wrap. She said she couldnât do it / wouldnât do it and I should order something else. Iâve had 2 feet of intestine removed and cannot eat that raw roughage. She didnât care ! The tall young man that waited on us was very nice. The senora that I think either owns or manages Salud was nothing short of RUDE. Never smiled. Thank you for the advice senora. We obviously displayed an inhospitable, ungraceful and unwelcoming attitude, which is not our goal I can assure you. To be clear we are very grateful to be part of this wonderful community and feel humbled to have been embraced, as we have been, since we arrived back in 2011.I cannot blame you for not wanting to return, Iâm not sure I would feel any different. If you decide you would like to give us another try, I would like to invite you and your husband to breakfast or lunch, on us! Nice surprise... Jorge greeted us and quickly seated us in the a/c section on a 95 degree afternoon. Margs perfect, along with the complentary salsa followed with lime soup, duck tacos, n queso with shrimp, then another Marg. We headed home very happy. Price... Fair. We saved the last night of our trip for what we thought would be a wonderful Mexican dinner but we were very disappointed. The service was mediocre at best and the restaurant itself was very plain. I've had better Mexican meals in Tex-Mex restaurants in the US. An aspiring chef would have been embarrassed by the presentation, and the chef who produced it would certainly have gotten chopped. This certainly was not up to Marriott standards. We were really hoping for something much better on our last night in Puerto Vallarta.Dear vern C,Thank you for sharing your experience.
