Known for their huge selection of tequila, and the food is excellent as well. A particular standout is the Chile en Nogada, made with 37 different ingredients. ¡Great for business and family!
We were taken here by business partners who ensured us this was authentic, and very good Mexican food. Food and service was excellent, and not the heavy Mexican food that Americans think of (like refried beans). Atmosphere was interesting, clean and a bit upscale. I would definitely return.

We were referred to this restaurant by our hotel. The food was as you would expect of Mexican food and was just ok. We had about 4 or 5 different servers so it was confusing but we did get all of our orders. Portions were small (think of tapas) ... I ordered tacos and there were 3 very small ones. So ask your server about sizes of the plates; prices were reasonable so you can just order a couple and it would be fine. It was a very large restaurant and a bit dark. Music/show starts at 9:30 so plan your visit accordingly. If only for the food, I would not go back. Thanks for your words and recomendation, we will put special attention in this things!

Very creative food with delicious flavors and perfect execution. Amazing cocktails in a beautiful place. I enjoyed every second of my visit here. It was my birthday and this restaurant was ideal for the celebration. I’ll come back soon. MX$1,500 for a full dinner with drinks (for two).

A great place to eat when you visit Chapala, amazing views, free boats rides, delicious food and a familiar environment.
My mother and I saw this highly rated restaurant a little west of Ajijic, and had not been disappointed by any 4.5 star-rated restaurants on our trip... until now. We simply came to have a couple drinks down by the water, and share an appetizer of ceviche. It is worth noting that I speak fluent Spanish, but my mother does not, so I was doing all of the ordering. To accompany our drinks, I asked for two glasses of water (free). Next thing I knew, the waiter was bringing over two bottles of water. I didn’t say anything at the time, but should’ve seen this as a sign of things to come. After finishing our drinks and plate of ceviche (mediocre at best) we asked for our check to leave. The waiter brought a piece of paper with just a number on it, 520 pesos, and scribbled Spanish stating that this was the total after the suggested tip. (Yes, for two drinks, two “waters” and an appetizer- WAY overpriced) Tucked behind this paper was an itemized bill for 435 pesos. I handed over a credit card and he asked me what I would like to add for a tip. I said 15% (yes, even in Mexico with mediocre food and service I am still going to be generous). Next thing I knew, I was signing a bill that added 100 pesos (25% tip!) for a total of 535. I looked him in the eye and told him no, I said 15%. He acted innocent and apologized, as if it was somehow a misunderstanding, and then fumbled around to find some change in his pocket in order to reimburse me in the amount of 35 pesos. Did I care enough to let if sour the evening? Of course not. But as someone who relies on TripAdvisor for restaurant recommendations, I thought I’d share my experience at this “4.5 star” place. And let others know that I certainly will not be going back.

We ended up dining at El Jacalito twice during our stay in Mismaloya simply because our experience during our first visit was so wonderful. Unlike dishes here at home, it was the main item that filled the plate, not the sides. My husband counted 18 jumbo shrimp on his plate! Ingredients are fresh (including in the drinks) which makes so much difference, the service was friendly and we were very comfortable in the open air dining room. Muey bien!

atmosphere is nice, place is different as construction was not made specific for restaurant, they adapt a place that previously existed and used to be a place where you need to reserve in order to be able to get a table, not sure if it still, took visitors from other countries and they liked it very much

If you are in Tlaquepaque you must stop at Casa Fuerte for a meal. The food is great and they almost always have live music. The restaurant is situated the courtyard of a historic home. The staff are wonderful and attentive. Menus in Spanish and English.

This restaurant consistently offers delicious innovative food, beautifully presented. The decor is pretty basic but the food makes up for it. IHad jicama tacos with coconut shrimp — superb!

Brick SteakHouse is one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Guadalajara. The design of the place makes for a comfortable, yet sophisticated ambience. The service was not only friendly and helpful but they were attentive to our needs. The quality of the food was superb. Our Porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the sides were flavourful. The desserts were second to none. We had the cornbread with dulce de leche and the cassoulet of berries and chocolate, amazing. Also, they have a great selection of local, artisanal beers as well as great wine list which is well priced. This place is a must.
