Typical Dairy Queen. Nothing special, but nothing to make you want to avoid it. Service was reasonably fast and the food was on par with any other DQ. Ice cream was great as always.

I spent a week working in Jackson and had the opportunity to eat here for lunch. I was greeted immediately with a smile even tho I could tell they were very busy. I enjoyed the menu because a photo was next to each item giving you a visual of what to order. My order was taken after a table of 12 business men which they so politely informed me it may possibly take a little longer.
I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin with their homemade fries. It was in no time and I had my food. The server whispered he had put my order in ahead of the group since I was alone and unable to visit like they were. I very much appreciated the extra consideration. The tenderloin was excellent but I wasn't crazy about the fries even tho there was a very generous portion. They were a little too greasy for me.
I am anxious to try other items on their menu and would recommend you do also.

The "Ellefson" in Ellefson Coffee Co. is Dave Ellefson, most known as heavy metal band Megadeth's bassist.
I stopped in for an acoustic show featuring Next to None and Doll Skin, both of whom Dave manages. I had hoped, quite honestly to meet Mr. Ellefson and get him to sign my copy of his book, but he was not there that night. I imagine that he does not visit the location personally very often.
The bands were not the norm, as usually this is a coffee house and not necessarily a music venue.
First, it was smaller than I thought it would be. To have bands there, it was pretty cramped, but there is probably plenty of room for a regular coffee house day. The walls are covered with interesting pieces of Ellefson, Megadeth, and other rock, metal, and movie memorabilia, and there is a very small selection of Dean and Jackson guitars and basses. Also for sale is merch like Ellefson Coffee Co. shirts, coffee mugs, and a signature line of Ellefson Coffee Co. Coffee.
But most importantly for a coffee house, the coffee was great, they offered cookies and brownies (and other things) that looked very good, and the service was very fast and friendly.

Update from my last review 2 years ago. This restaurant changed hands in May 2017. At least one new cook. Stopped in to pick up a bacon chicken wrap to go. Watched the owner type in the correct order. My mistake was not checking the to-go box before leaving. Turned out I had a buffalo chicken wrap. Not what I wanted or paid for. Gooky breaded chicken, way too spicy. Hopefully in this small town of limited dining options these new owners will get their act together. Meanwhile, I will not rush back.

We stopped at 8:35pm since they close at 9 I thought maybe they wouldn't be very happy we chose there to stop that wasn't the case at all. They were very accommodating and friendly. The food came out quickly, the portions were large , everything was the proper temperature and tasted wonderful. Great value it was 20 dollars for dinner and beverages for 2.

It's a pizza buffet where you can request that certain pizzas be included when you walk in so you can get whatever you want and still have all the rest of the buffet options including salad bar, soup, fried chicken, biscuits, potato wedges, and more. Plus, they have desert pizzas (mostly fruit flavored like apple, peach, blueberry, etc.) that are super tasty. And you get all that for less than $10 at lunch time or slightly over $10 at dinner. I go a couple times a month and that's a conservative estimate.

You would not expect to find a decent oriental restaurant in small farming community in southern Minnesota, but this place was pretty good.
The restaurant was plain, but clean and well maintained. It was not busy when we visited, and was very quiet.
Food was a bit bland (but remember - you are in MN), I thought it was a bit sweet, but overall quite tasty and the portions were very generous.

Called in an order for 2 pizza's.. The person on the phone spoke very little english. Said would be about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later both pizza's were finally done. They did one of ours, someone elses then the other one of ours. Will be going back to God Fathers where they are reliable and the food is hot.

I like Subways but will not eat at this one. Have given them 3 tries and all were unpleasant experiences. Skimpy with ingredients but service is the deal-breaker here. Attitude of employees was incredibly bad - obviously did not want to be working there, did not care if I was a satisfied customer or not. On one visit I ordered the posted special Sub-of-the-month but when paying was charged regular price. When I questioned the price & pointed out the posted special I was told that was from 2 months prior and it was currently full price, too bad, pay up.
