Awesome fresh seafood. Note that restaurant is at 2nd floor. No English menu, but they are very helpful to explain and able to communicate using translation apps. Will be back before leaving Morioka.

I came here to treat my friends from central Japan.What I like best is the local dishes (mainly see foods) which is served in a local atmosphere.They have traditional cooking facilities, irori fireplace, and guests can enjoy grilling seafood over burning charcoal by themselves.We had a wonderful time.

Iwate Shorthorn Beef is known as healthy meat because they are raised in the large pasture area in northern Iwate and they never forced to eat more than they want.So the Shorthorn Beef is low in fat and taste quite different from Japanese Black beef, the marbling meat.Wakana is one of the restaurants that serve Iwate Shorthorn Beef in Morioka City.I came here with my colleague to celebrate her promotion. I wanted to celebrate her with something of local specialties.They serve steak and grilled seafood on a hot iron plate in front of a guest table. We enjoyed the conversations with the chef while he cooked the dishes.And of course Iwate Shorthorn Beef as well.We had Iwate Shorthorn Beef, but there are lots of choices of good meet.
